I am holding an hsbc credit card. My card was free of cost card. After my card expired company issued a fresh card promising it will also be a free card. As I didnt use the card at all I never checked my statements after 1st one or 2 months. But suddenly few days back I got a call from a recovery agent and he told me I need to pay Rs 7000/- as my bill amount. When I checked my card statement I saw with great dismay that they charged a membership amount and kept on building interest on that everymonth. When I reported that to the call center of the company they immediately waived the entire amount and made the account zero. But every day even after that I get threatening call from collection agent. When I complain the same to the call center they say it cant happen. But everyday i am living with this threat of the recovery agent without any reason. How can take serious legal action against the bank?
