Hi,
I am Shanker Kalleti holding HDFC GOLD credit card no 528956001899314 which i received on 23rd july 2010 with a credit limit of 20,000/- rupees, i have requested for increase of my credit limit so they have issued new card to me with a TITANIUM card worth 50,000/- credit limit on 12th Aug 2010.
In august i have received a call from HDFC and they have suggested a HDFC ERGO insurance policy.Over the phone conversation i have expressed my willingness on a condition that i will have to receive the documents related to the policy and only after my signature i will have to be charged that policy amount.
But the next day i was billed the policy amount and with out taking any signature on the document dispite my request.I have called customer care and they informed me that i will receive the documents very soon.Till date i have not received any documents related to the policy.
I am unduely being charged for a policy which is applied to me without a proper consent(My signature acceptance, date acceptance).I was not informed the policy details properly and despite my request,i was not provided the documents before applying the policy to me.
For the last 5 months i am being charged with a total amount of Rs.6510/- which i haven't paid taking the above stated concerns.
I am being put under a pressure with showing the increasing outstanding amount which is calculated erracticaly. No immediate action is taken by bank for cancelling the policy and only after my repeated calls to the customer care eventually after taking 2 months of time since my first call they have finally cancelled, and this delay period from bank side is also being considered as part of policy tenure.
On 15th Dec 2010 i have received an SMS saying my outstanding due amount is Rs.3814/- and the minimum amount i have to pay is Rs.3001/- on or before 03rd Jan 2011.When i contacted customer care on 17th Dec 2010 they are saying that my outstanding bill amount as reached to Rs.6514/-.
I really don't understand how they are showing such an erractic caluculation.I am really upset with the HDFC credit card and its policy.
Regards,
Shanker Kalleti
