This month on 13-12-2010, I issued a cheque towards ICICI bank credit card 5176539003314006 amt. of Rs. 46139 saying it as a security cheque for my payent towards my credit card. I paid an amount of Rs 30000 in cash for which i got a reciept from the bank representative. the reciept is valid. I called up the executive whom i was dealing, and told him that remaining amount i could pay next month, and fixed date was communicated. After much request the bank is still saying they need the money by this month. the executive is saying that he will remove this case from him and this will go to another guy who will add another 12000 to it which could be legal fees. He has also told me that the other guy will put the cheque in the account. i have already paid 30000 should i do a stop payment and pay it on 5th of next month plz advice on this. it is really hard for me to pay the remaining amount by this month. He had promised he will return the cheque as soon as pay the cash. he has not returned the cheque yet.

I would request your advice on my predicament.
