    Angry ICICI Credit Card fraud.........????

    Hi,

    Myself Ashish Saxena, a regular ICICI credit card holder from Feb/2007, has took a membership from Cambay Spa & Resort on 31/08/2008 on the name of my wife Anamika Saxena by making a part down payment of Rs. 10642/- & 15962/- through my ICICI Credit Card on 31/08/2008 & 21/09/2008. Soon after these payments I realized some fraudulence by them through a difference in their verbal commitments & black n white communications to us. I immediately got back to them but was emitted with a casual attitude and hereby ultimately on 20/10/2008 I wrote them a mail to stop my membership with immediate effect. I made them a request not to charge any type of payment from me and they agreed upon this also and cancelled our membership too.
    At the same time I noticed that there was no reflection of the amounts of 31/08/2008 & 21/09/2008 on my Credit Card for those payments. However, simultaneously I made a call to ICICI customer care on Oct, 31st 2008 at 8:15pm and had briefed my problem to customer care executive. As informed by him a merchandiser cannot claim the payment with you after 21 days of transaction and which coincidently had occurred to my card too. I thought it the decent behavior of Cambay Spa & Resort. But to be at safe end and as suggested by the executive too in lieu of suspection of fraud, I immediately blocked my card and made a request for renewal.
    Now after two months of my regularity with new card I suddenly came to know that those payments were included in my new card. I really fail to understand this mistake of ICICI Credit Card department; first of all a reflection of debit the amount after three months and secondly even after blocking the Card. I wish I could have not renewed it.

    In this regard I had a talk with an officer in Dispute Department, on 24/12/2008 at 07:12 PM and explaining him the case. Where he suggested me to give a fax to ICICI department detailing my request and attach the letter that I wrote to Cambay Spa & Resorts for cancelling my membership and he made an assurance to me that this money will not charged if membership is cancelled.

    I am not continuing my membership as one can see in my previous two statements also where they are not charging any type of installments through my Credit Card for worth Rs. 2283/- in the month of Nov08 and Dec08, which they charged one in the month of Oct08 on the date 7th. The installments were for 48 months.

    I requested ICICI to credit back the money to my Card which they have charged on my previous card for the dates 31/08/2008 & 21/09/2008 of the amounts 10642/- & 15962/- in the current month along with Over Limit charges of Rs. 500 and Service Tax Rs. 61.80 which shockingly has come into my notice through ICICI CC online statement only.

    Please note that, I already had faxed these facts two times on 26/12/2008 at 19:06 Hrs at 02266466683 and again after having a telephonic conversation with another officer in dispute department on 16/01/2009 at 15:54 Hrs at 02266466683 & 02228308005. I have both the reciepts with me.

    I have also dispatched the courier along with fax on both numbers at ICICI Bank Ltd., Charge Back Department, 2nd Floor, Empire Complex, 414, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai - 400013.

    I think that ICICI is not taking this matter seriously, as I wrote earlier also that “How a merchandiser did the claim for payment with you after 21 days of transaction” (as told by ICICI Dispute Dept. officer).

    I requested ICICI again to Credit back the above said amounts from my credit card account along with the over limit charges. I don’t know that after how many times, they will be responding on my request. This costs me every time. Please send me your inputs regarding in the above matter.

    Now a days they called me up from Recovery Dept. to deposit the payment, kindly treat this matter as urgent.

    Please help me and guide me.....

    Respected Ashishji,

    I have gone through your prob. Let let me know that do u have copy of agreement with SPA Club ? How u authorised Credit Card for payment, How and mode thereof. Please note that ICICI Bank will not hear you softly if approach them. You have contact Judicial Body for justice. If you send me statement of credit card, Agreement, Authorisation mode for payment from credit card, correspondence to ICICI Bank. You can contact me on dagliamit@yahoo.com. Don't take it lightly. That will be problems lots in short span of time.

    Hi

    I am Shweta Gupta. I am bringing to notice an ICICI Bank Credit Card fraud. I have been receiving abusive calls from a number with the person on the call saying that she is from ICICI bank and an ICICI Credit Card No. 4629 XXXX XXXX XXXX with an outstanding amount of Rs. 2.39 Lakhs, being issued in my name, though I have NEVER applied nor received any Credit Card from ICICI Bank either in past or at present.The person has been continuously calling me on my mobile and I had been getting a no. of calls of harassment from them on the landline of my office because of which I have lost my job. My parents have visited Mumbai to help me to sort this matter out, and we have incurred huge expenses to stay at Mumbai.

    I made a complaint in customer care for this issue for which they are not ready to provide me any details. I had few communications via mail with customer care but later on they have filtered all my mails. The ICICI Customer care said that they have registered a complaint for the same and they will be investigating the matter and will intimate me latest by 29th May 2011. A letter of complaint dated 16th April 2011 mentioning all the details sought by customer care has already been sent by me to their Mahape Branch.

    I have already lodged a complaint FIR for the same I have visited Banking Ombudsmen, RBI Office, Worli on 20th April 2011 and as per their advice I have send a letter to Deputy General Manager RCGS - ICICI Bank. Still I continued to get calls of harassment from ICICI regarding the recovery of Credit Card outstanding which I NEVER applied nor possessed. As per the instructions of RBI Ombudsmen officer I have even written them that if they wont take immediate action on the same, the matter will be escalated to Banking Ombudsmen RBI.

    I further got calls from an ICICI officer Mr. Deepak asking me to meet so that he could provide me all the information I had asked from ICICI but when I asked him to meet at Times of India office, Fort he denied to meet in front of media making an excuse that the office is far from his place so he can't come and thereby he never called me back. ICICI Customer care is also unable to provide me any details on the disputed Credit Card. I had asked ICICI Bank to provide me the scanned copies of all the documents on the basis of which they are saying that the Credit Card belongs to me but customer care has not taken any steps for the same and have not send me any information on the Credit Card.

    On 30th May 2011, I received a letter of statement from ICICI Bank mentioning that they are done with their investigation and they have confirmed that the Credit Card belongs to me and I should make the payments as early as possible. From their statement even I came to know that the ICICI customer care officer has registered a wrong complaint that I am not authorizing certain transactions on Credit Card though the complaint I made them was that the Credit Card was not at all mine and I have never applied nor have I received it, still why was I getting the calls of harassment from ICICI. The bank is not even ready to provide me any details on the kind of investigation they have done.

    Just to bring to notice that I never had any Bank Account nor any Credit Card with ICICI Bank either in past or at present. I never did any sort of transaction with ICICI Bank directly or indirectly.

    If the Credit Card belonged to me why haven't I ever received any statement or SMS from ICICI Bank for the purchases done. Why the Bank is not ready to provide me the receipt of the Credit Card delivery.

    ICICI Bank is held responsible for all costs and expenses (Material and Non-Material), I have incurred.

    Looking forward towards your immediate guidance

    Please help me to come out of this distress.
