i dr rahul singh resident of noid ais holding an icici credit card 5176532505443001 i had my dues as per bank person collection deppt called me up and told me that i have dues of 36,715 rps including the interest .i decided to make the settelement with the collection deppt for 30,000rps. for this the collection deppt agreed and he said he would give me a letter next day along with the payment but that day the bank debited the same amount from my savings bank acc 025301520670 noida icici this money was debited without informing me .sir i went to the bank and tALKED TO THE COLLECTION deppt person neeraj singh but he started abusing me and told me that what has been done is ok but i want to say when i agreed with the collection deppt to settle for the amount 30,000. then why the bank debited the 36,715 from my saving acc which is a joint acc with my brother rohit singhsir these extra money they have debited is of concern for me as i have to arrange money for mysisters wedding .kindly help me asap in getting my extra money back .

i nirmal kumar pandab,
while taking the hdfc credit card i was informed that i have instalment faicilty and i can use it. a year later (on 27/7/09) i used the card amount of Rs. 9757/-. the next day i called customer care to divided into instalments and give me the breakups details. but they simply told "sorry sir you dont have instalment facility b'coz your purchase has crossed the instalment limit by 1000/-. so i paid 1500/- and asked them to do the break up. but they dont listened and asked to pay the amount within 40 days. i tried but unable to do so, i paid another 2000/- rupess and agian asked for the instalments. but they added all the charges and sent me the bill amounting to 8257/- . I stopped amking payment. they called me many time but due to my calling limits in my work place i attended 3-4 times and again asked them for instalments.

I was ready to pay the extra they charge for instalemnt but they unncessarily made my bill amount 9767/- till date. they put hold on my saving bank account and issued a letter saying "lien on account due to irregular payments" they are playing cheap tactics to reach their set goals and incentives. i visited the collection office in begumpet in hyderabad and they took a debit note of entire amount of 7557/- form my saving bank account and forced me to pay the rest amount. i had to borow from my friend to pay the same and i paid the total amount of 7557+2300=9857.

this is how they harassed me. I could have paid in instalments and the amount of 9575/- could have been 11000/- but they acted worsely by not providing the instalement and loading the bill more n more charges making it as huge as 13357/- (1500+2000+7557+2300)

i request you look into the matter and do the needful i am in debt to my friends.

I was just wondering if it's rightful for Recovery/Collection department of HDFC to talk the customer in a very bad/abusive/rude manner? I'm a credit card holder too from HDFC Bank and I don't understand their new policy of collecting money from the customers like this.
