Barclays Card Full and Final Settlement Letter Sir,
I was assured by one, Mr. Raj Kumar (Legal Manager of Barclays Bank, at least that's what he told me) that my credit card account has been settled for an amount of 15,000 INR and after making the payment, and I would be receiving my Full and Final Settlement Letter, within 48 hours. I had spoke to him on 23 April 2009 and issued a pay order in the name of the bank on 24 April , which was collected by Arif from RAW Associates (i have a photcopy of his id card).
Its been more than 2 weeks and even after repeated complaints to the Bank, it has failed to issue me a letter. I have also registered an official complaint with the bank regarding the same but they are not providing me with any information or updates and Raj Kumar is not picking up my calls.
Kindly advice and help me in getting justice.

MY name K.Elayaraja my creditcard no.4339486178071747.i am physically injur .so i want my card settlement .I am call to settlement deptment many time but no respose my request . i am not used the number of barclay card so pls my requesting i want my card settlement pls .Pls immediate action,replay . I have also registered an official complaint with the bank regarding the same but they are not providing me with any information or updates .

One time settlements - is it going to clear your credit rating at cibil Dear Complainants,
I find here 2 of you who are willing to close your loan/creditcard by a onetime settlement.
Let me tell you: one time settlement is illegal. Thus the banker whoever gives you such assurances can recieve the amount from you., but he cannot give you a clearance and a no objection report.
This will have a negative impact on your credit rating at CIBIL and though you settle with the respective banks you will not avail any future loan by any other lending bank as you will not have a clearance cum no objection letter from your bankers.
Further Please note CIBIL is a private body which diosplays your credit rating online.
To technically and legally resolve your grevaince contact : dr.b.n.soans., an ex merchant banker and head of banking laws., India so as to settle your matter in a legal appropriate manner.
