    Hi,

    You have read my entire logs. If I am paying Rs.7000/- as the full & final settlement, isn't that more than what was due?

    Shouldn't that remove my name from the list?

    If not then what is the use of paying so much? Plus other amount was only the interest and other finance charges etc.

    I suggest you to talk to bank officials for settlement, but don't forget to take that settlement letter before paying anything, and ask them mention all the details in the settlement letter like removal of your name from CBIL defaulter list and no dues on your side.

    Later when I was asked for the payment again, I called customer care who didn't answer it and now the colection company was not responding to me. They promised callback but no one called back.

    Now, after 5 years, I now received a phone call asking for its payment which is a big amount now.

    If my records will be checked, you will find all my payments were always done on time.

    Its customer care is not at all supportive. They do not provide any information required.

    The collection company is cheat, they collect payment as a ful & final but does not close your account.

    I am so unhappy with its services that since then I stopped using HDFC bank and I asked my friends and relatives, not to use it.

    During that theft, I lost couple of other cards as well from other banks, all of them reversed the fradulent transactions except HDFC.

    I shall not be liable to pay what I did not spend that too when I immediatey denied the transaction. Also, shouldn't they be checking the merchant slip to verify signature. I they do not do that, they shoud stop getting it signed from the customer during payments.

    Consumer Court - Please tell me what can be done about it. Thank You.

    Do you think, talking to bank oficias is better than talking to the collections?

    Collections department is asking for Rs. 7000/- as a settlement amount.

    Hi I haven't applied for any hdfc bank credit card in my whole life. 1 month back I applied for a personal loan at HDFC bank and it got rejected.

    Reason told me from HDFC Bank: you are backlisted in cbil because you have amount due for HDFc bank credit card.
    I contacted so many persons from HDFC bank for false credit card entry on my name and they are not co-operating with me. They are just saying your address and other details are matching with the card holders name. so you have to pay the amount.


    but If I have not applied for any HDFC credit card and not having the same, why I will pay the amount. When asking for resolution they are just saying the same statement again and again. Please help me what to do in this case.

    Angry Wrong person's harrassing, intimidating HDFC credifcard calls to me

    This is regarding the 2 harrassing calls (18th and 20th May 2010) which my wife was received as my name happens to be similar to someone who took a HDFC credit card in New delhi. I have made a complaint to HDFC credit card customer service 'HBL=009-477-006' on 24-May-2010.

    When the 3rd call (26-May-2010) became unbearable my wife gave my number to the recovery agent Pooja (HDFC number 011-43261820) to speak to me. I informed them that I am Vivek Sinha and not Vivek Kumar Sinha. But they would not listen and just keep using abusive words. They called me 14 times on the same day 26-May-2010.

    I have been living in Hyderabad since the last 9 years. Currently I am working in Bangalore. We do not know any Vivek Kumar Sinha. No creditcard number/detail was provided by the recovery agents.

    As a next step I informed the HDFC Grievence officer at 044-23744704 informing Rajani on 26-May-2010. She mentioned to me that the calls will stop in 48 hrs.

    I will wait till then, and then I would approach the RBI banking ombudsperson. I want to know which Ombudsperson I would need to contact - Bangalore or Delhi?

    Sir,

    This is Mr. Hemanadh Baratam, the holder of Credit Card No. 4346 7720 0585 4988, would like to share my experience with this group to make the people aware of credit card frauds and also for soliciting help from rescuers.

    As far as my knowledge, I never made any purchase on this card. Since the day the card was issued, i kept it idle. And also i have not received any statement of my card due to change in my mailing address.

    Though i kept the card idle, sadly i came to know from my saving account statement that the sum of Rs.9000/- has been deducted from my saving account without any intimation and without my consent towards credit card payment.

    When i made this grievance to the HDFC officials, i got a call from their representative (female) according to her, i bought a Bajaj Allianz policy on that card worth @1400/-. Actually i never gave my consent for that policy nor i received any such policy statement from them and even i did not know that such amount had been deducted from my account, till this conversation.

    And not only that for that same 1400/- due, they charged and debited Rs.9000/- from my saving account. Not only that they are saying "Still you are 250/- due to us" even after such a huge fraudulent debit.

    Really, i lost my mental peacefulness and loosing my sleep also. With this agony, my behavior with my friends and colleagues had been changed. I am completely disturbed.

    So friends, please help me in getting back my debited amount. I would be grateful to people whoever helps me in coming out of this mental torture.

    Default Credit Card Fraud

    Hello!

    I have been harassed by HDFC bank people for a Credit card payment.
    Let me tell you clearly about this matter.
    I have applied for a credit in the year 2007, Through a agent called Neha. She sent a guy at near to my place.
    After providing all the necessary documents they said, your application has been rejected due to your blacklisted area in old city, Hyderabad.
    After 6 months, I started receiving the documents or invoices that you have some amount balance please pay before your interest go higher, This is absolutely ridiculous.
    When I haven't use any Credit card then should I pay the money?
    I have not even seen that picture of that sick credit card, Now they are asking me to pay the money.
    Since 2+ Years I am receiving all sick documents sometime some lawyer notice,
    Or sometime some Bank legal notice.

    Please advice me what should I do now to rid off this pathetic situation.

    Here's an interesting news-item for all those who have suffered harassment and humiliation at the hands of HDFC Bank Credit Card Customer Care Executives:

    Hisar, June 17
    A local court has summoned Aditya Puri, Managing Director of HDFC Bank, to appear in the court on July 17 in connection with a complaint filed against him on charges of extortion under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code.

    The complainant, local resident Gagandeep Mehta, has alleged that he held an HDFC Bank credit card and had been making regular payments to the bank. However, he changed his residence after which he did not receive any monthly statements.

    The bank issued him a recovery notice for having failed to pay the minimum outstanding dues. The complainant said after receiving the notice he deposited Rs 11,000 on February 2 last year and sought duplicate bank statements from December, 2008, to March, 2009. The bank refused to supply the statements.

    He again deposited a total of Rs 14,000 on three occasions, but the statements were still not supplied.

    Later, the bank offered him a settlement for Rs 27,600. However, when he asked for details of transactions, the bank refused. Instead he was issued a legal notice asking him to pay Rs 47,005. He alleged that he was threatened and abused by bank officials.

    The complainant then filed a complaint in the court of Sunita Gupta, Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, who has summoned Puri on July 17 to stand trial.


    Note: Offence of extortion, punishable under Section 384 of I.P.C., is non-bailable, and carries a sentence of upto three-year imprisonment.

    Unhappy HDFC Bank -THUGS!!! - Credit card fraud ... Fraud victims are further looted by HDFC!

    Hi,

    Am a customer of HDFC bank and a victim of credit card fraud, I had applied for a credit card almost 4 years back and after 2 years was a good regular customer, with little transactions on my account.

    I had been to london in 2009 and during the period their was shopping done on my credit card account to a tune of 50000, my card was missing and I only noticed when i got a statement, when I called up from UK to cancel the card and report fraud the department told me to visit branch!!!! can u beat that??? visit branch ??

    I told them when am back i will but please close the card immediately they said it maxed out and suspended, but I specifically told them to report it as fraud and lost!!! whicle the follow up was going on they took out money from my savings account coz it was linked to credit card when i pursued the matter they said once the fraud is detected the money would be given back or freeze fro account removed!!

    I had a lot of heated arguments in branch and customer service, but i could not do much... they said its banks right to take money????????? now to add it up I opened a salary account 2 yrs later with the bank and they have freezed my money in salasry account to a tune of 10300 and saying they still have 27000 outstanding ion their records?????????????????????????????? I got no letter or notice in mail or call...

    Please help!!!! this is robbery this bank people are theives money frozen for a credit card closed 2 yrs back??????? I had received no statement since 2 yrs!!! when i asked the credit card division guy "Mahesh" some senior asshole! he said it might be a system error??????????????/

    I need to tolerate their errors while they steal my money? and he advises me on settlement? for wot?????? its first ur a victim of fraud then the bank loots u further? please confirm i cannot tolerate their language on phone, they talk like am a thief, am a well educated literate customer who is facing this shit conditions.... and I feel I have no options left but to close the account and never ever open a hDFC account again....please advice..
