Dear Sir / Madam,
I am from Pune city. I own a HDFC credit card no.5176521003036227, and have been regular in my payments.
I have not been receiving my credit card statements regularly, hence there was a delay in making the payment.
Today (5/5/2009) I got a call on my landline from Mr. Santosh from HDFC collection branch number 02041218022.
Before I could attend the call my 6 year old son attended the call and asked him to call back.
When I attended his call He spoke to me very rudely, using abusive language, saying
"(Abuseive words) Kyaa re, Paise kabhi bharnewala re, Bank ke paise liye to bharne ko nahi aataa kya".
"(Abuseive words)Tu sirf itnaa bataa ke tu paise bharne wala hai ya, main aage ka action loo"
I wanted to know the amount, but because he spoke like this, I asked him his name
He said "Naam jaan ke kyaa kar legaa, pahle itnaa bataa (Abuseive words) paise bharne wala hai ya nahin"
I told him to ask his manager to call me then I will pay. In return he replied "Manager se baat kar ke kyaa kar kegaa"
Also I have another complaint against HDFC bank is that, unlike other banks if you make a settlement of the account or if you try to get a waiver of any fees before closing the account they STILL PUT the Customers account in CIBIL. This is sheer ARM TWISTING.
Other banks DO NOT DO THAT.
DOES HDFC BANK HAVE A DIFFERENT RULE FROM RBI.
