I am a credit card holder from SBI. Last month I received call from one of their executive saying that I have been selected for the privilege circle program and that we will be sending a freegift and some coupons and asked for my date of birth and other details by some other person. Since it was a freegift I undoubtedly given my details.But to my surprise Rs.6180.00 was charged for this FREE GIFT . It is beyond my comprehension how can someone charge for a free gift?

I have send an E-mailto the head of the department. After repeated reminder I have received a mail stating that your case is under investigation and we will revert back to you soon. After few days I have reeived a call from an executive which my husband attended saying that privilege card programs cannot be cancelled and your voice is recorded and you have given consent for the deal.Which deal?

Please help me as to how can I proceed further for this fraudulent acts of the SBI.

I have a dispute with SBI card since April'09 encashment amount 32000/-. I have
notify several times to customer care and sent mail. I has been always said that the
matter is under process. It will be resolved soon. As per my April'08 statment I
have paid all my outstanding except encashment amount which I have not been
received. I always in touch with SBI via phone or email. Two days before I received
a notice from a advocate regarding this payment. I talked him regarding my
unresolved dispute. After that I received a call from SBI executive as per him I
have spent 66000/- and paid 38000/-. I asked him why it has not been mentioned my
statment. He said it was a fault of Bank you have to pay principle amount for one
time settlement. If this the actule amount to be paid it is bigger amount. If
statment reflected correctly then all the amount will be cleared on time. As per him
either I settle the matter out of court or in court it's on me.
He has faxed me the transactions details. In which he mentioned only the payments
thru checks by me. No payment shown which I have paid thru net.
Since May'07 I am very mentaly harrased due to this.

Kindly find out the resolution for me.

Hi,

No offences to anybody here.. but my experience was altogether differnet with the bank & services provided. I enjoyed all the benefits provided under this program. There are few exception in providing the services in time but we cannot call it fraud.

SBI has introduced this wonderful offer where in, the bank has given a l o t of options to customers. I took the program & went for holiday.. It was indeed one of the best holidays ever for my family..

I appreciate bank for giving such wonderful offers to its customers..

Hi all, I fell into the same trap in middle of August 2010. Everything happened so quickly.

When I got the phone, I was tricked into believing that first the offer details(3 days holiday package+one way flight+POLO wrist watch) will come to me by courier. Then after checking the details I will sign for them to debit the money. We know how their salesgirls are tutored to cleverly mislead people with their smart talk.

Suddenly on 21 Aug I found Rs 6067/= debited on my SBI card. The date of debit is also significant as I am getting the least no of days(21) to take any action against SBI card. There is no doubt that they did forced illegal debit to my card account. This is money swindling of the worst kind. If we together fight it out legally in Delhi,they will be in a spot.

I do not know what the standard of their services & goods offered will be. But that is secondary. Everybody cancel your SBI Credit cards while you can. I hear that SBI card is run by GE Countrywide. Not by SBI themselves.

Shame on these employees too! Mostly convent school educated, they speak English well. What a shame working for this organization of money-swindlers!

SBI Card ahs introduced a new offer under SBI Card Privilege Circle Program.
Experts from SBI card make call to the card users and explains about the schemes. I alss received a call, during phone the offer was looking good enough and thus I accepted. Under this offer they raise a bill Rs 6067 from in SBI casrd account just onlya fter acceptance on phone.
There was no written communication and when I received the offer by courier, I noticed it,s no use for me.
I made calls to the customer service nos, but these people have not accepted by request for cancellation. I have also sent 1 mails, but there is no response.

Please help me in cancellation of this offer, I had pay the charges.
how i can refund this payment .

I too have been cheated by SBI card privilege circle offer. If I look at the number of complaints listed here and other forums, it appears that SBI has swindled its customers in a big way. It has been done so professionally that, now onwards, I will hesitate to get associated with SBI in any way. Is there anybody who can take some legal action against them.

i was lured to take the offer by showing the sbi web portal , benefits were told , my main thought was its sbi and they are a well established. the offer pack has not been received till date , i want to cancel the booking. the operator is not willing to cancel even after i am ready to forgo the amount of 400/- .

1)i blame the sbi for not letting us know thorough the portal that the person calling us are not for sbi.
2) why are you not ready to cancel even after the cancel charges are ready to be paid
