I just wanted to share an incident happened with me at Citibank Sector-4 Noida branch. Once around 13 months back I went to Citibank at Sec-4 Noida branch with my Dad just to open a Joint Recurring Account. But there Ms. Geetu & Ms. Ridhima shown us numerous investment plans(even we were least interested) and told us that they will link up my Citibank Gold credit card with our new joint account and we just need to keep paying in our new joint account and it will make us feel like exactly the same as a joint recurring account. But they were not sure about the linking up of my Citibank Gold credit card with our new joint recurring account and told us that they will confirm it on Monday when there Manager will come to the branch and then they will ask me on phone to proceed further with my case. But they never confirmed with me ever and started the plan for me. Charged 24,377.00 rupees on my Citibank Gold credit card ************7011 for BSLI which was never confirmed by me on any of the communication channel(Phone, mail, etc). I really never wanted and I really could not afford this plan on my current salary package. I just ran to BSLI company to fill freelook form to cancel(Advised by Citibank Sec-4, Noida branch only) my Policy as soon as possible and they accepted my documents on 30th Oct 2009 as you can see in the attached scanned copy as well that is the photocopy with the receiving stamp as receiving but now they people are saying they cannot cancel my this Policy # *****9794 as it already took a long time. Ms. *Rajni(BSLI) used her very sharp mind and she made dropped the documents in next few days of my BSLI Policy at my doorstep after receiving by her only on 30th Oct 2009 as you can see in the attached scanned copy her signature as well. I also have a Suvidha Account with Citibank from last 3 years which is ******8221 and I have Citibank MTV, IndianOil Gold & IndianOil Titanium Credit Cards as well and I request you at the same time just to check my Credit Card history for last 2 years and let me know if there is even a SINGLE late payment made by me !
I believe when Citi has the tie up with Birla Sun Life and Citi is showing and sharing the plans of Birla Sun life with CITIBANK’s customer then as per my belief Citi should be the only concerned department who make it possible for a customer to get his/her policy canceled. I had tried above then the best possible level from my end. I have already given more then enough time(25-30 hours in total) and money(1200-1500 rupees in Petrol) to get the policy cancel even though it was cheated done by using my Credit Card by Citi at Noida Sec-4 CITIBANK Branch. I have already filled the free look form on 30th Oct 2009 for cancellation for my Policy(which I never wanted) which is attached with this mail as an attachment and I checked there with Birla people on the same day(30th Oct) by calling them in the evening and they said they will credit back my money directly to the credit card department in next 10 working days. Now Birla guys have the great excuse to not allowing me to cancel this policy that I got the policy documents on 05th Oct 2009 at my home and I cannot cancel it now which is very incorrect information as I got the documents on 16th Oct. I went to sec-62 branch of BSLI and again submitted one new hand written application again on 16th Nov 2009 for the same cancellation procedure which is also attached with this mail as an attachment. On 24th Nov 2009 I talked to Gagan(Senior Executive CS)(Query Ref# 1909117155) in Citibank and shared my whole story. I have not paid yet for any BSLI money charged on my Credit card, however, I had being continuously paying my all other purchases on Citibank credit cards. I went to CITIBANK Noida 6 times and 2 times to Birla Sun Life Sec-62 Noida then 2 times to Birla Sun Life Sec-18 Noida. CITIBANK has cheated me.
Till date, I really do not know that there are how many and there may be how many more departments can come in future to forward my query as from the incident started I am only getting a picture of just forwarding to here forwarding to there on phones in mails in postal letters in last 13 months.
As per me & my family, the BSLI policy documents received by my Father on 16th Of Oct 2009 but not by my sister on 5th Of Oct 2009. Still, even if we consider that might be it was my mistake and I didn't remember it correctly, and suppose 15 days were already over when I went to Birla, then why would have Ms. Rajni who is so senior(branch in-charge) person received my documents and gave me the photocopy of the same as an acknowledgment letter whose scanned copy is attached with this mail also ? And why would have Birla customer care in the evening on the same day(30th Oct 2009) confirmed me that Citi Credit Card department would be receiving the money back in next 7 days ?
This is a very weird & non-sense point or part of Citibank services that an executive of Citibank calling from his personal mobile asking your mother & father height, weight & ages for getting a confirmation to proceed with a BSLI policy plan but in any case you cannot figure it out for exactly what purpose this call was. My god, no one can believe on this type of service. Please let me know or listen to that call if you really record some important calls also like this or just always having a call record option in every single normal query call only ?
And now they have forwarded my case to recovery departments who calling me from last 3 months from the following numbers:- 011-30922600, 9818964826, 011-45182328, 011-39821700, 9899675084 & 9711260356. From all the mobile numbers listed above, girls call initially and confirm whether the person is the right person and then they call from landline numbers.
Ms. *Rajni is a madam who used to sit in BSLI Office Sector-18 Noida around Aug, Sep and Oct 2009 when that Office(Sec-18) was under construction.
I am feeling very helpless, please help me. I want to get rid of this as soon as possible.
