    Default Harassment by recovery agents

    [Hi people i have taken an credit card from HDFC bank and due to some unavoidabel circumstances i have lost my job and unable to make the payment and i have contacted the branch office and asked for options and they were really rude including the manager and the recovery agent atleast calls me 100 times a day even after i told them that i would like to settle the amount and the last time they even shouted on my family members this is really ridiculous you people cannot behave in such manner the other day someone with name Balraj goud he claimed himself to be a manager in HDFC said he will come with police to my place and has threatened me a lot of times i would like you people to take stringent action against that and also when giving business for recovery make sure they follow the guidelines and dont spoil your banks name and i am very serious that if i dont get the calls stopped i may have to raise a police complaint and i am very serious about it. And i want the most senior rather a VP of the HDFC bank to call me so that i can discuss the situation.

    Angry HDFC making Business by Fraud

    All, My situation is all together very weird. I used to hold HDFC C.Card around 6 or 8 years ago. I got it closed I guess in 2004 or 2006. To my utter surprise, I got calls from collections department in 2010 stating an outstanding of around 1600/- on my C.Card. I asked were they sleeping for so many years to which they replied they recently got my records & I was ok paying 1600/- as I applied for Personal Loan in 2008 (from Deutsche bank which was approved) & Car loan in 2009 (from SBI which was decliened under this ground) which showed similar outstanding in my Cibil report. I was assured by the collections team that I'll be getting NOC on HDFC bank letter head as well. I paid that amount in February 2010 & got a receipt & letter from collections person that I'll receive the NOC once the cheque is cleared & that HDFC letter contained C.Care number. Its been 2 years now, I have not received any NOC from HDFC. I applied for car loan again in 2010 from Tata motors finance who approved my loan seeing my Salary, bank transactions & timely payments of my C.Card & Home Loan in 2011 from SBI which is approved again seeing my transaction histories, salary etc. That outstanding is still showing in both Cibil records & that too more than 12,000 now. I contacted the provided C.Care number in that letter which never rings. Ha ha ha. Till now I have good limit C.Cards of Citibank, SBI, SCB & recently got Amex card as well in my kitty. I applied for HDFC C.Card which they have decliened atleast 6 times. Still I receive calls for getting a new HDFC C.Card to which I decline now. So my questions are: Where is my money adjusted? If all the outstanding has been payed by me, why HDFC is not removing it from my Cibil & spoiling my Cibil record when every thing is butter smooth in all other Financial institutions? What financial bank policy requirement they mention when they are declining my HDFC application? I also have HDFC savings account. Why nothing shows in that? I recently had exceptionally bitter experience when I was planning to transfer my Home Loan to HDFC. All these factors points to 1 thing. HDFC as a Financial instituation is in India to make fool of customers, make money by hook or crook & dis-satisfy people by any means.

    To add more pain, I don't know what my C.Card number is & when I called C.Card C.Care number on HDFC website, gave them my name, address etc, they don't find any records under my name. I don't have that letter any more as well.

    Dear Consumer Court,

    This is regards issue to a credit card from HDFC bank which was allotted to me in March-2010. The card number is ending with 5410.
    The issue is related to the payment of the card which is pending since long back. First let me clear on the issue. I was using net banking to view my statements and accordingly i use to make the payments starting from the day one as this was the most feasible option for me. The payment used to happen well on time but in Jun 2010 mid i faced problem logging into net banking and i immediately reported the issue to the bank customer care and asked for assistance. They promised me to give the solution within 48 Hrs but i did not receive any call or mail from bank regarding the solution for the issue. I called them again and asked to help me on the net banking and asked to reset the password as i tried a lot and it did not happened. Bank asked me to send the screen shot of the page where the error was coming. I immediately sent the screen shot and again they promised me to solve the problem and provide me the new fresh password in within 48 Hrs but result was again same. Then i checked my emails for the statements but i did not find any statement on mail as bank dint sent me the statement and also i have not received any hard copy of the statement and the payment got delayed and bank charged me with the finance charges and diff diff taxes they put on my card. I kept calling them again and again writing mails to them but always the result was same and till date since last one and half year the issue is pending and till now bank has not provided me the user name and password. Parallel they blocked my card even though there was enough credit limit was available. This issue got extend and they started sending me the e-statements since Sep 2010 and that was the first time where i saw that bank heavily charged me with the interest late payment fees and different different taxes. I asked them to wave-off the charges but they dint accept their mistake and forced my to make the full payment. From that time till today i called bank so many times mailed them the problem but no one listened to me and today the 15000/- amount has come to 50000/- with more than 30000/- rs interests, late fees, taxes. My actual expenditure on the card is not even more than 15000 but they are forcing and torturing me to pay full amount.
    I asked them to solve my problem and wave-off extra charges but they are not ready also since last one and half year i have mentally harassing me like anything troubling me my family my job and lot many thing. They sent me the notice few days back. I spoke to lot many people from HDFC bank but everyone harassed me on call and troubling saying they we will put your name into CIBIL. Being professional working into IT company they troubled me during my Job time and harassed me a lot. They keep calling me even though i give them time to talk to me but they keep calling me unnecessary. I am mentally disturbed because of them and every day they are putting unnecessary troubling me and my family. I am ready to pay the amount which i have used but i cant pay the interests and other finance charges they put on my card. As they did this intentionally. otherwise solving this issue doesn't even take 10 minutes, but they have not given me any solution even after 2 years. Please suggest me on this.
    I can give all the proofs which shows that i have mailed the issue so many time wrote them the mails regarding the payments and everything.
    Please help to do the needful
