    Angry Complaint against HDFC credit card recovery agents

    Hi,

    My name is Bipin Thapliyal, I am holding a credit card of HDFC Bank (no. 5289 4560 0083 3343). I would like to inform you the way HDFC bank Credit card customers are being handled by their Collection dept, they are harassing me and talking so cheap. Few months before I met with an big accident and I spent a lot of money in the same.
    That’s why I am not able to pay the minimum amount from last two month. But before this I am paying all the dues before time.


    I got a call on 20th September 2010 from their collection dept for payment. The person’s name is Abhay. He called from 011-43145200 & 011-45315300. I told him that I will do something. But on the next day 21st September 2010, he called me again from different numbers and starts abusing me.
    When I asked him for his full name, he refuses. The agents are so ruthless that they do not listen to what customers are saying. They just know what they have to say or what they are asked to say. He said me that “ I want the money till evening at any cost, borrow from someone or steal it, I don’t care.” When I explain him every thing and told him that I will pay the amount in next month with fines, he disagrees and told me “ when you don’t afford to pay, then why are you using the card. I want the money at any cost”.

    After many calls when I stop picking up his calls, he starts calling at my home number and starts abusing my family members. Although he called at my office landline and abuse my colleagues. This is ridiculous and a very rude behavior to talk with your customers, as I am having an salary account with HDFC bank and I will not ran away with the money.

    I want to take a necessary action against these kind of agents, that they have no rights to call my family members/ colleagues and abusing them. As I am holding the card.

    Plz take necessary action against this matter of abusing people and there family members.

    Please help me and suggest what all actions can I take in this regard.

    Hi,

    I agreed with the statement made by you, but surely your representatives have no rights to talk with my family members and what all happened, that hurted their honor/dignity and respect. I will tolerate this thing if it is only upto me. Now it is not tolerable.
    Who is responsible for all this matter what happened?
    Today on September 22, 2010 I got a call from the same representative from 011-45315300 at 11:34am. But today he tells his name Ajay and as usual your representative told me in the same way "today is not raining, the weather is fine, go to the bank immediately and deposit the money in cash. Now and confirm me. I want money in cash." The pitch of your representative was low but the words hurts.
    I already deposited the minimum amount of my card statement. But you should take some necessary steps against this person.

    Default Harrasment/cheating by HDFC Bank Credit card

    I am holder of HDFC Credit card. In 2009 I was asked to pay Rs. 4000/- by a representative on bank on which I showed my resentment but the representative told me to pay the amount and if the due amount is less they will adjust. I told them that I wanted to make final payment. Since then the representative especially Ladies started calling and saying Oh sir your purchase amount is Rs 2200. So you just pay 2200 and then your balance will be zero. But yet my account was not settled then I got a call to pay 1650 on promise my account will be settled, then I was asked to pay Rs. 650 on promise they will now just charge me for purchase amount. And now from 4000/ Rs my dues have come to 13000/- and now the bank says they will not give me any wavier and they are not bound by what their representatives committed. Any also threatened to black list me. I asked them since my dues were 4000/- why didn’t you settle my account on which they said we don’t want to reply on this.

    Dear Sir,

    I Miss Chetna Naik using Visa Gold Credit Card nd my number is # 4346 7810 0749 3000 As i am using this card from last 5-6years and i always made a payment on time as u can chek the records of mine in your system , but as i m not working from last 4months. Wat ever i was having saving i am using for my day to day expense and other expenses and also i made payment of my hdfc card paynt frm 2mnths my Total amnt due is 20,322/- .As now not on job so der is lack of funds with me. This is my 2nd month i have not made payment of hdfc card payment.
    I am hunting for a job but not getting good opportunity.

    When ever i get a call from collection executive so i told dat person all the details about my job nd also tld him i want to pay my all dues but now i dont have job so cant py now but as i get a job nd vl get funds i will definitely pay bcoz i want to make paymnt to the bank and i dont want to spoil my relation with the bank... But then to i am always getting calls from collection persn name Mr. Satish from number # 02261208300 he was v v rude on call, not listening at all was only asking for the part amount . I told him i vil make pynt but nw i dont have money at all.

    I dont understand how Collection Supervisor Mr. Satish can ask me to arrange funds from my parents or relatives.
    I am v much frustrated from this calls.
    I request u i want to pay the credit card dues but as i vl get job i vil definitely make payment.... Pls request u inform dem not to call again n again or at resident as my father is handicapped person or visit at resident.

    The principe herin the complainant Mr. T.C.Kaliavanan states that the interest on his credit card is charged as high as 33%.
    The complainant agrees having utilised the facility of creditcard to the tune of RS.50,000 AND over a period of time has paid Rs. 40,000.
    The interest rates being very high and the consumer being not been made aware of the same is the principle reason behind the greviance.
    In addition there are uneducated recovery agents who donot follow any code of conduct of Recovery are visiting Mr.T.C.Kalaivanan s house and threatening him with consequences of life.
    This being unlawfull and a very negetive approach of the lending bank.
    Thus in view of these developments ., I , B.N.Soans in the capacity of the legal mandate holder of mr.T.CKalaivanan hereby call upon your good offices to come forth for a legally valid and arbitratory resolution to sort out the Kotak Creditcard : 4166 4613 0054 1915
    matter addressed by the Bank and its Legal counsel directly and arrive on a amicable solution.
    Your assistance with regards to resolving this matter will be highly appreciated.

    Unhappy Harrasment by HDFC Credit Recovery Team

    This is to inform you that I was holding a HDFC credit card.. Recivery agents of HDFC Bank Delhi (contact no : 01146768600 ) are threatening me repeatedly and he is behaving very rudely. He is using different rough language & entertaining in personal things. Also he is calling to my office boss, more than 20 times per day so that i am afraid of loosing my job. Their names are Hari Om and Amit.

    I have also informed HDFC Bank customer care through email and phone.. But still there is no result at tall.. I would like to request you to kindly do the needful so that i can get rid of these embarrasing situation.
