    My daughter Ms preeti S.kotekar opened a SB A/c with SBI, subsequently made Fixed Deposits of 1 Lac and 2 Lacs. while making FDs the Officer at branch suggested to buy SBI Cards saying she would sent person to my residence aND HE WOULD ARRANGE EVERY THING. tHE NEXT DAY THE SBI CARDS REP. CALLED AT MY RESIDENCE AND took my daughter's signature on the forms explained the various benefits of having the sbi card and left informing me that Iwould receive the said card shortly.
    Accoringly my dauhter received the card. and she made the payments of service charges and other charges as demanded by the SBI card.
    Later as the interest rates on FDs were raised, my daughter wanted to break the 2lac FD and reinvest at higher interest. She acordingly went to the Bank with the FD receipt and requested the concerned officer to do the needful.She was shocked to learn that the said FD was on "LIEN" to the SBI cards for 1 lac and she cann not break the FD withou cancelling the card and obtaing Lien cancellation letter from the SBI cards. When asked if 1 lac is on LIEN what about the other 1 lac out of the 2 Lac FD, the officer could not give any answer. When SBI Cards Re. in the bank owas approached to do the needful in the matter he said that he is helpless and their responsibility is only to forward application forms and earn commission on the cards. and that we have to approach SBI Cards on the help line for all the matters and they do not have any office any where.
    After trying/cajoling the said branch office to help in the matter in vain, after 3 months we approached the SBI Cards on the help line to cancell the card immediately w.e.f. 7th sept. and arrange to issue Lien Cancellation letter to the Bank so that the FD can be broken and reinvested at higher rat apply fresh for the card. The help line informed us that they do the needful and we would get the said letter within 15 working days. however now it is almost 3 months and we hav not received the Lien Cancellation letter and we are unable to reinvest the said and loosing interest on the FD. However the Card was immediately cancelled. and not in use. I am thinking of going to consumer court for loss of interest.

    Sir/Madam,
    This is to bring to your notice that I received a call from 08867122020 from someone claiming to be the legal advisor of your organisation by the name of Mr.Mahalingam. I was informed that this call has been made from Bengaluru in connection with credit card no. 5264685317244240. Mr. Mahalingam informed me that this card belongs to me and there is an outstanding of approximately Rs.73,000/- when I told that there is some mistake from his end he refused to listen to me. He went on to provide correct details relating to my address and employment. He further told me that this card has been used by me at Bengalaru some four years back when I supposedly was an employee of HDFC bank at Bengaluru.
    I never had the above mentioned credit card nor was I never employed with HDFC bank at Bengalaru, I was shocked at the revelations made by Mr. Mahalingam. The most surprising part was that he provided correct details about my employment and residence. After this call I called your help line number where I provided the card details and my details and to my relief I found that apart from the name, the two details are not matching.
    I have other relationships with SBI including a savings account and a four wheeler loan. I am startled at the events as described above and it has left me in a state of agony and distress.
    Thru this mail I seek an explanation for such an obnoxious phone call and also please also let me know how Mr. Mahalingam has access to my personal details .This is in clear contravention of Code of Bank’s Commitment to Customers as enumerated by BCSBI of which your bank is a member.
    It is needless to say that dissatisfactory explanations of the queries as raised above will force me it take this matter with regulatory and/or statutory authorities.

    Default Settlement letter

    Dear Payment Assistance Manger and Executive


    As discussed with customer executive and me, there is made a full and final settlement letter of our outstanding amount of SBI Card. I was agree and to be paid the amount rs 2565.00 by 31/08/2011. But in the settlement letter the credit card number was wrongly mentioned while I haven't used this number and has also been fighting against the same from two years. I have written many letters and talked about the same on telecoms time-to-time but didn't get any response yet. Now I have completed approx. two month for such case and still waiting for souelation. As per customer executive said that the provided card number is mine and is carry-forwarded the amount on new card while I haven't received any credit card of this number and ensure it that there will not be any receiving proof.
    Then, how and why to paid the amount of this card number. I have frustrated and is also mentally torched to me regarding payment. while earlier I have paid rs. 16,000 instead of purchased amount rs 5800.00 on June month 2009. The Running card have also closed on the same month when we lost the Card, after that I haven't received any Credit card. Now there is being chitting for me.

Now, I received a phone call from SBI card office that your ammount has been increased while this was pending on their end. This is totally chitting from me and if I pay the ammount rs 2565.00 on orther card number that was not mine, Again I can be chitted and can say to me that your ammount is still pending in the actual card number. I was said that any proof will be to paid this ammount either mail and re-letter of settlement but I didn't get any response and mail. I have frustrated for such case and is also being mentally torched regarding the payment. Kindly look into this matter.

I was said that any proof will be to paid this ammount either mail and re-letter of settlement but I didn't get any response and mail. I have frustrated for such case and doing mentally torched by customer excuative regarding the payment. Kindly look into this matter

    Since I m being billed for un-opted for insurance / other offers which keep coming thru mail - I dont have time to send mails/ SMSes daily to hordes of offers which get billed to my account w/o my express consent: but I am not able to contact
    anyone from IVR service of their Toll Free number - where my card number is rejected as "incorrect" although it is correct - plz. deactivate and STOP & CANCEL MY SBI Credit Card With Immediate Effect: I do not wish to use this .

    sbi debit card is a very poor quality .so i am swap any atm answered is please remove your card .
    So i am very disappoente for this card

    Exclamation SBI ATM Debit card Problem

    I am Supti Karmakar, account holder of Haridevpur Branch ( Branch Code : 011530 ), A/C No:31024621691. On 4th March, 2012 at 7.49pm I tried to withdraw 20k from Haridevpur ATM at a time.While withdrawing the money, it got stuck in the machine and then it went back to the machine itself and no money came out.However,
    20k was debited from my account even though I never got the money. My Transaction No was: 8311 and ATM ID S10A003084083. The security person at the ATM had been a witness
    to this incident.


    Within 9th of March, 2012 I submitted all the documents with ATM Slip and a letter to the Branch Service manager Mr Roy but in the next 6 days I did'nt get any information from the bank, nor did I receive the money in my a/c. On 15th of March, I called the customer care help line 1800 4253800 and I registered my Complaint with an ID: AT115304173235. On 23rd, by a message in my mobile, my complaint was confirmed and I was asked to contact the Branch.


    On 24th I went to the Branch and I was offered 18k by a Bankers Cheque, dated 13/3/12, Serial No: 130882 by the Service Manager, Mr Roy and then I was asked to contact the Branch Manager, Mr Amal Kr Das for the rest of 2k. Then the Branch Manager insisted me to receive this cheque, and told me that he will look to this matter for my next 2k.


    I have also informed to the AGM and from his reference again to Mr Pramanik & also to RM of SBI. Now I am feeling too helpless and I have again submitted a letter to my branch on 25th March, 2012.

    I am requesting you to look into this issue with utmost urgency and resolve this problem.
