    Default Icici bank's credit card - unauthorised transactions

    Dear Sir,

    I am having ICICI Bank's Credit Card, and without my knowledge,
    somebody has used my Credit Card, which i came to know, when I have
    received an SMS from the Bank and I have immediately informed them
    about this. At that time, I came to know that the Transaction was
    not AUTHORISED by the Bank, and when i told them to STOP that
    transaction, they did not STOPPED the transaction, and instead of
    that, they told me that, let it happen and I do not have to worry,
    and once informing to the bank, i have to pay nothing. Now as per
    the bank's information, I have to send them a letter in writting
    either by Fax or by Courier. I had FAXED the letter to them and
    also by an email.

    On enquiring with them, they told me that they have not received the
    Fax and I have to send the Letter to them again, which I had sent
    them again by Fax at Chennai and they confirmed that they have
    received the fax.

    Now the Phone Call was started from the Bank for the Recovery of the
    Payment, which I objected, and then after 4th Call for the Recovery,
    and even informing to the Bank's Recovery department by the Bank
    themselves, they did not stopped and then they started sending me
    SMS and emails for Recovery of Payment.

    When, Finally I informed them, that I will file a compalint with
    Cyber Crime Department and the banking Ombudsman, they told me that,
    all the charges are reversed and i have to pay nothing and i will
    get the statement with reversal of charges. When, I have recieved my
    statment, the statement shows that the charges are reversed, and the
    charge which is showing to be paid to them (Around Rs: 6000/=), that
    also they will reverse the charges in my next statement.

    I have already informed the Bank on 28th and 29th SEP on phone and
    as per the Phone Call recieved from the Mr. Venkat, My Complaint
    Letter in writting was Faxed on 17th November, 2007 and the Copy of
    that was also sent by an email to Mr. Venkateshwarlu K, Office of
    Head - Customer Service and even informed them by email with
    attachement also.

    Now, the Bank is informing me that:

    The dispute process takes a minimum of 60 days for resolution from
    the date of dispute initiated, i.e., December 07, 2007 either in
    bank's or the customer's favour.


    Please ADVICE, what to do ? Your Comment or Feedback, Please. You
    may contact me on 09821556362 for more details. Should I FILE the
    Complaint with Cyber Cell and with the Crime Branch and with the
    Banking Ombudsman.

    Dear Hari,

    Why should we keep them away ? Instead of that, all must unite and
    must show them the Power of Consumer. They can not take us as
    granted.

    I dont understand one thing, everytime, in my every email sent to
    them, I have clearly mentioned that, do not call me and send me
    everything in writting, and even then, they are calling me, and do
    not send me an email as per the conversation.

    I asked them to Lodge the Complain with the Police or with Cyber
    Crime Department, EVERY TIME, THEY SKIP THE QUESTION.

    They have clearly informed me that My Card is BLOCKED, then Why they
    have given me a Temporary Credit ? to my Card.

    They have clearly told me that I have nothing to pay, the charges
    are reversed, even than, they mention as :

    bank's or the customer's favour.

    I have also written an email to Yatra Online.com and to Air Arabia
    also, with CC marked to ICICI Bank.

    I have asked them to give me the Banking Ombudsman's Address as well
    as Bank Directors Emails and Address, which they do not give me.

    This time, I do not want them to go away freely, and want to teach
    them a lesson.

    I will appreciate you all's Feedback and Advice in this matter.

    Dear Amit

    Ur things are very clear, send them a letter to the manager in this regard, &
    send the Same thru Courier, oe else u can personally visit any of the branch &
    make a big hue in the branch, let everybody come to know about it,

    ALL Banks are cheaters,

    regs
    shalin


    we need specialised groups for dealing unitedly against the bank
    harassments .


    you shoould take help of media.

    Hello Friends

    I have been a sufferer of Vodafone services...

    Please do not use Vodafone India...I have taken lot of losses from
    Vodafone..for their losses.. Some of the problems faced by me by Vodafone
    services

    1) Vodafone did not block my SIM despite informing loss of SIM by me,
    Vodafone has again charged me for calls during my loss of SIM reporting..

    2) Vodafone gave me a new post paid connection with new number but later on
    refused to activate saying the number was premium and already taken by
    others, this has happened after 3 days of purchasing the SIM. For 3 days I
    had to call them 10 times and go to their office everyday..

    3) Vodafone retalier gave me a new connection and did not give me the
    number.. I never new that my new number if activated, finally after 3 months
    I get bill despite no calls have been made by me...

    dear sir,

    the solution to this is to lodge complaint with the
    police. Also forward a copy of the complaint to the
    ICICI Bank. Besides lodge a claim with the icici bank
    for the amount debited to your account

    Obtain a copy of the complaint acknowledged by the
    police too with their reference number.

    In such matter the ombudsman is of no help as he does
    not usually deal with such cases.

    Hi NARYAN,

    With the help of Amit I was able to forward the issue directly to IRDA.

    I would like to thanks the Internet for such a wonderful way to know all
    details at our desk.


    On 12-Jan-08 I got a call from (022-24923659) ICICI Lombard, Mumbai Mr. Mukesh
    Sharma apolozised for the cause and promised me to revert the amount in next 7
    working days vide ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd. Interaction ID 1201081245 and
    120108280.

    I wanted that every customer to know our laws and take action against such
    companies, who unnecessarily harassed innocent people.

    I would like to know that incase the amount is not credited to my account,
    should I follow up the same with BANK OMBUDSMAN . As I am not aware of the
    branch of Lombard but I think it is under chennai. So, should I follow up in
    Chennai office or my local place in Delhi.

    I look forward to your suggestion.

    All the time ICICI bank has replied the same thing, i have asked many times to study care fully my previous bills from December 2004 onwards. There are two issues: 1. for Rs. 4000/- + interest + late fee : ICICI Bank accepted its Fault, - about RS.1500/- including in it Rs.750/- as annual fee for which i have been promised waiver and interest on the amount which i have paid on no fault of mine. and Rs. 5000/- as compensation for mental agony and delivering deficient services.
