    Unhappy HDFC Credit card Payment

    This is to bring to your notice the service provided by HDFC Credit Card devision. My Credit Card no is xxxxxxxxxxx1588. I have been asking my credit card statement from Bank form last many months but no body from bank has provided me the statement. I have been paying to bank every month from last 2 years( more than 2.70 lac) but when i ask my statement they dont reply. I dont have any information that hw much i need to pay to bank n hw much interest they are charging... I have given my installment till may... every time these people promise that they will provide me statement after i pay my installment but then no body turn up. According to my view i have already paid lot more than my actual usage. This month i.e june 2010, i have refused to pay them without getting statement then after many calls they have send me 1 year statement on my mail and told me on phone that they cannot provide me statement for more than 1 yr period. I dont understand how they can refuse to customer to provide his own account information.

    After going through 1 yr statement i got to know that they have charged me interest of 1.1 lac in just 1 yr even though i have paid all the installement regularly every month then from whr this interest has come. Instead of sending mail to them there is no reply from their side. Now they have started harrassing my relatives for the same. They are giving threatning calls to me and my relatives for sending gundas to my place.

    I am expecting a reply to my queries but you have not responded to the same which i am still awaiting secondly still awaiting for my statement since begining.

    Secondly one of your pune representative has called only of my relative i dont know by what means she has given the call and now started disturbing him..If payment is due from me then why you are disturbing him for the same as he has no relation with my card.

    This is not fair the ways it is being dealt as one side not replying to my queries and secondly calling to someone else for the money.

    Thirdly today I spoke to ur representative and she is saying where is ur previous complain nos as mentioned earlier also call center guys has not given me any complain nos in spite of asking from them as they refused to recognize me.Also mentally again she is harassing me and saying I will send my agents to disturb your family and fiends.

    Expecting an response for both of my mails which I sent earlier and today.s.

    Also can you please tell me the reason why I cant access my statements from begining.

    As mentioned earlier also it is getting difficult to deal with ur representatives in Pune as in my previous conversation my experience is not good and friendly.

    Thank you very much Sir for your prompt revert.

    As per the telephonic conversation dated 25th June as you requested for the statements for last one year has been sent to the Magarpatta address wherein you had promised that once the statements received you will make the payment. When the Field Executive visited on 26th at the given address the house was locked and even we tried from all the ways to get in touch with you, but still not received any revert from you, but still the field executive has left the statements at your residence.Today we are again mailing you the soft copies of your statements for 1 year.

    Today again when he had visited your residence again we got to know that you have left this residence in Pune 2 years back.

    Please note sir, on 25th when the manager had spoken to you about delivering the statements at your Pune address she had confirmed the address but you had never intimated about your new address.

    Kindly go through your statements and make the payment for 10670/- by ATM or net transfer ( HDFC Bank) latest by today or tomorrow morning.Also would appreciate if you could pick up our call and also request you to provide us your new address for future reference.

    Awaiting a prompt revert.

    Thanks for your mail but I would like to share something with you the difficulties which I have faced with HDFC Bank on dealing this.

    Since last one year I am asking for my till date since begining my statement report with my transaction details but I am not geing the same...Every month I just get the assurance from your representatives that after the payment we will provide the same but this has never happend.

    Yesterday also I talked to yuor represntative in chennai also but she is also saying that we cant mail you for more then a year etail on this ID..May I know by what mean i dont have the right to know my statement. I tried from your call center no. also but they are refusing to recognise me even and also saying we can give more then 6 months statement.

    Also in the way representatives are talking that is not friendly in fact it looks very bad and irritating talking to them.

    The way they are approaching to me is totally unfair and also which is threatful as saying we will deduct the amount from your saving account.

    Also have the right to know about my transactions which I am unable to know.

    At the same time I need the details on this ID as sachin_vamnicom@yahoo.com only as my other ID is not working currently.

    I am very hurt with the way bank is dealing wit me and the way they are not helping me to know about my own transaction..

    First thing is that I need my all transactions details since begining.

Once we receive this information, a bank representative will check about the current dues on your account, and also contact you to explain the fees charged to your account.

    Here's an interesting news-item for all those who have suffered harassment and humiliation at the hands of HDFC Bank Credit Card Customer Care Executives:

    Hisar, June 17
    A local court has summoned Aditya Puri, Managing Director of HDFC Bank, to appear in the court on July 17 in connection with a complaint filed against him on charges of extortion under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code.

    The complainant, local resident Ga@@@@eep Mehta, has alleged that he held an HDFC Bank credit card and had been making regular payments to the bank. However, he changed his residence after which he did not receive any monthly statements.

    The bank issued him a recovery notice for having failed to pay the minimum outstanding dues. The complainant said after receiving the notice he deposited Rs 11,000 on February 2 last year and sought duplicate bank statements from December, 2008, to March, 2009. The bank refused to supply the statements.

    He again deposited a total of Rs 14,000 on three occasions, but the statements were still not supplied.

    Later, the bank offered him a settlement for Rs 27,600. However, when he asked for details of transactions, the bank refused. Instead he was issued a legal notice asking him to pay Rs 47,005. He alleged that he was threatened and abused by bank officials.
    The complainant then filed a complaint in the court of Sunita Gupta, Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, who has summoned Puri on July 17 to stand trial.


    Note: Offence of extortion, punishable under Section 384 of I.P.C., is non-bailable, and carries a sentence of upto three-year imprisonment.

    Default Death of the card holder

    This is to bring to your notice that I am the spouse of the credit card No xxxx xxxx xxxx 2541 held in the name of Sudeep Tewari,due to critical illness my husband died on 22nd Oct 2011,he has some outstanding on the card for which the collection agencies are pursuing constantly,I am the house wive and unable to pay the dues as the entire savings have been spend for treatment of the illness of my husband and my son is studying in 9th standard and there is nobody earning in the family,since I am mentally perturbed by the loss and so I request grievance cell to address my problem appropriately.

    This is to bring to your notice that death of the card holder xxxx xxxx xxxx 2541 of HDFC BAnk Ltd has taken place on 22nd Oct 2011 on account of heart attack at the hospital in Lucknow,I am the spouse of the card holder and a housewife with a child of 14 yrs,in the current scenario all the savings have been spend in the hospitalization of the deceased with no money left for survival also ,we are unable to pay the dues of the credit card,collection agencies are constantly pursuing for the payments which I am unable to pay .Our family is mentally perturbed by the loss of the earning member hence please take appropriate measures to resolve and close the issue.
