Hi,
I have an HSBC Gold credit card.
On 26th March'2010 there was a fraudulent transaction being carried out on my card for Rs.1399 on Future Bazaar.
I was not in the country on the date of fraud and my credit card was with me.
I lodged a complaint immediately with the bank branch when I got back on 5th April'2010.
Today i.e. 27th May'10, after chasing them for a month and a half on emails and calling their call centre, they have got back to me saying that I am liable for the transaction as it is done in an secured environment.
I don't care whether the transaction was done in secured environment or not, all I know that it was not me.
So when I ask them for the details w.r.t the IP address, or where the stuff is delivered ( since it was purchased on-line so it has to be delivered somewhere) , or what has been purchased, they are just not ready to help.
HSBC have been highly casual about the entire ordeal and I want to drag them to the court now to claim damages.
Request you to kindly advise what should be action going forward.
Thanks
Kunal
