    Default HSBC Credit Card fraud and harassment

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Im Rajavardhan Reddy Konda, I stay in US now since from Aug 2006.

    My family getting calls from HSBC Credit card agents saying I need to pay 145000/Rs. Im ready to pay but I asked for my transaction details. They were not saying any thing correctly(some times they say 2007).Im not in india a that time. I asked paper statement to send to my home address. They are not sending. As per my head I didn't have left with any transactions.

    I spoken to agent give me transaction amount and dates, then I will pay the money to Bank. I called to HSBC Customer Care also they don't have details(saying my card is closed) and told me get from agents.

    Name on Card :- Rajavardhan Reddy Konda

    Address on card:-

    I don't remember any other details on the card.

    I want to say thanks to consumercourt.in Admin.

    HSBC has given response to my posting, but that is not what Im expecting from HSBC. Im very clear about what Im asking. I want transaction deatils "How much amount and on which date". If HSBC come and say I need to pay 1Crore ? How can I pay... .

    Im thinking HSBC is bank, they can pullup all transactions of my card. My parents given address to agent to send all transaction details. But they are not sending. I want every thing In writen statement from HSBC on my card.

    I send mail to NodelOfficer today. I included the customer service response too.

    Im posting HSBC customer response.

    This is further to our email of 24 May 2010, regarding your card account.

    Upon receipt of your complaint, our colleague Mr. Shubhojeet Kar had attempted to contact you on the mobile number 09845392714 updated in our records, however, our attempt to reach you did not meet with success.

    Referring to your concern on the outstanding dues, we clarify that our record indicates that the total outstanding on the card account as on date is INR 1, 55,283.28.We request you to effect payment to avoid further charges. Your card stands invalidated with effect from 19 December 2007. Moreover, Due to non receipt of payment, bank had written off the outstanding on the card account

    We are given to understand that you wanted statements of your card account to be sent to you. We have arranged to send reconciliation statement with the details of the transactions. This is based on the extract retrieved from our systems and you should be in receipt of it shortly. You may be rest assured about the authentication of the same.

    With regard to Debt Management efforts, we state that as a standard procedure, in case of non adherence to the repayment schedule we remind our customers about the payment through SMS, emails, letters and phone calls. We contact the customers on the telephone numbers and the addresses provided by them and follow up for recovery of dues. Henceforth, you will not be in receipt of any reminder calls with regard to the aforementioned credit card. We regret for any inconvenience caused to you in this regard.

    Hi,

    My case looks interesting to me.

    I got reply from the HSBC customer support. I find interesting transaction details in my list of transactions.

    Transaction amount of 50500.00/Rs in date period 06 Aug 2007 to 05 Sep 2007(There are no transactions from June 2006 to July 2007). I don't know abt this transaction.

    I asked HSBC following details abt these transactions.

    1)Amount
    2)Transaction Date
    3)Place of transaction.
    4) Scaned copy of merchant transaction Receipt.
