SUB - False Comitment regading CreditCard settlement for card no. 5243681100529539.

Dear Sir,

My name is Jagannath Tripathy. I am holding a HDFC Bank Credit Card No. 5243681100529539. I have a serious complaint reg. the settlement of this card. Due to jobless I am not able to give the payments for this credit card. First I got a call from MR. Balram holding the contact number 9311469630. He told me that my saving bank account is hold due to non payment of credit card payment. then he told me that pls. give Rs.2600 to releas your A/C, I have also make the payment according to him on 14/11/09, In that same coversation I request him that "Right Now I do not have any job so please settle this account" . He also said that this amount Rs. 2600/- also adjusted in your settlement amount. After that I have called Mr. Balram Several times, but he sometimes told me that he was busy with meeting and then he never pickup his phone also. In the mean time Rs. 9711/ - deducted from my hdfc saving A/C with informing me.

After that in December I got a call from Ms. Pooja (Contact No. -01141809569) and asked for the payment. I asked her for settlemnt my Credit card A/C, Then she told me that I have to take approval from head office in mumbai. I got a call from mumbai for the same, the person name was priyanka. she told me that I have to make the payment on same day or give a post dated cheque. after that we can process for settlement and the amount which i have already paid will /be adjusted in settlement amount (Rs. 2600+Rs. 9711+Rs. 6500 Which I paid on 18th Dec 2009).


From that day I never got call from Pooja or Priyanka. I have to call pooja ask for the settlemt but she just ignoring the matter and told me that with 2./3 days we will send you the letter. After that again I got a call from from pooja saying that just give Rs. 6710/- settlement discount and amount will be adjusted from settlement amount. According her i have again make payment on 15/1/2010 amount Rs. 6710/- and told me that within 2/3 day I will receive the settlement letter. After 2/3 days I called her on above mented contact no. but nobody has picked up phone.

In February 2010 again pooja call me and ask for the payment. Then I asked for the settlement letter he told me that we have already sent the letter to your billing address. but I told her that if you will not send me the letter i am not able give any payment further also told that if you send me the scanned copy of settlement letter also i can give the payment. then she started abusing me and told me that we will call ur friends and ur parents and trouble them.

After that I called custoer care on 01141514332. they told me that I should call billing dept. After that I have called the billing dept. on 01143161511, 01143161511 and speak with radhika. she told me the settlement process has not started till yet. should I proceed for that, I asked for the same.

On 6th I got a call from Deepika regarding the settlement and told me Rs. 85000 was consider for settlement. then I told her that i cannot give such big amount so request for some less amount Rs. 60000/- and will give you in installments. then she was getting hyper. I told her not to hyper and request for some less settelment amount. Then she replied me that she is head in hdfc bank and what she will decide that is final, and started abusing me.

So I request you please look into this matter and consider for less settlement amount i.e Rs. 60000 and also deduct the amount which I have already given. bcoz right now the time is very very tough for me to survive. In this position also I want close this case. So Please help me and instruct the executives to settles this in a peaceful manner but they are trying to cheat me from day one. I will appreciate if somebody can advise me a better way.
