I am using HDFC Credit card since last 3 Years. Last month I received my statement wherein there is an overlimit charge of Rs 500. My credit limit is Rs 37,500 and it overlimit by Rs 5000 more. I dont understand how can a person use his credit card beyond his credit limit. I complained about the same and got the feedback from the bank that all customer can use their credit card above their credit limit upto Rs 5000. I requested them to reverse the same, because it not a mistake from my end. They refuses on my request and also charge me other finance charges since I stop making payment. Please suggest.
