Payment recovery calls, Mental harrasment, abusive language

    Exclamation Payment recovery calls, Mental harrasment, abusive language

    Hi

    I am holding barclaycard times card.

    I have swiped my card for around rs 9000/- a year back and then i was continue paying the minimumdue amount every month without noticing the statements. seven or eight months i have checked my statement and found that my balance is more than nine thousand rupees only. I hvae tried calling customer service but hard luck due non availability of resources with barclay custmer service. I have stopped making payment.

    Collection executive called and informed me about the outstanding on the card.

    As per him in month of Oct 09. Total principle amount due 7700/- approx
    and there was a interest of 200o0 approx.

    since that day i have asked that exeutive to close my account for principle amount as i am not ready to pay the interest amount because as per me interest should not be levied on me for 2000 rs as i was making the regular minimum due payments.

    Since oct everyday i receive around 15 calls in day by different executive for payment reminder nad everybody assured me that they have done there best to get my account setteled and it is still pending.

    Now collection eecutive has started using abusive languages such as "that i do not have capability to make payment".."why you use the card when you cannot make the payrment"

    As per barclay the current outstanding is more that 12000 rs/- which is unrealistioc and unacceptable.

    I am also not receiving the statement for since last four months.

    today on 14 january luckly i tried the cust service no and i was able to speak to Pratibha Bhatia in customer service and instead of providing me with any solution she has refferred me back to collection agencies.

    hence I am writing this to you. can you please help me closure of my account

    Hello,

    We need some more information, kindly provide us your full contact details, complaint nos. registered with customer care (If any).

    Apart form this you can contact to your nearest police station against the recovery agents.
    Note: Do not mention your ATM/Debit/Credit Card/Account details.

    Sir,

    I was regular paying of my minium dues of HDFC bank's credit card bt last 2 or 3 months i hardly manage to make payment on time. Last month i was shocked when i got call of recovery people who used abusive language for outstanding dues of jst 1 or 2 months. So i thought not to give any payment rather to make settlement. I was assured one of recovery person that he will send me a settlement letter within 3 days if i paid minimum dues which also be settled in the first instalment so i paid. But after that i hardly get him contacted. Now again i got calls for payments with abusive language which make me mentally harrassment and they(HDFC) bank people said they wont make any settlement. Plz help me & suggest the way to come out from the situation because i've decided to go for settlement after getting huge reward points(abuses).

    Sir i just want to know "Why people from recovery side or even bank employees using abusing language for making recovery of credit card/personal loan, are they getting spl promotion or any extra incentive for doing this??"

    I think such a bad practice learnt us lessons that we shoud not have any deal with them(multinational banks) so they wind up as early as possible...
