Post ICICI Credit Card: EMI feature stopped without information

Hi, I am Biplab Biswas.I have made few big trasections through my ICICI credit card keeping in mind that I will pay the total amount in EMIs. But ICICI Bank has refused to convert the transections into EMI. They have stopped the EMI feature in my credit without any information. Now total outstanding in my credit card is Rs.27000. I am not in the position to pay the amount in one go. ICICI bank also charges interest on credit card outstanding like that if I pay Rs.15000 for this month's statement, they will charge interest on Rs. 27000.

I am using ICICI credit card for more than 1 year. Earlier I converted 5 transections into EMI between the period of time January 2009 to July 2009.

    Kindly help me on this.

    Regards
    Biplab Biswas

Same is the case here, even i relied on EMI feature of the ICICI credit card and went ahead with a purchase of INR 16,100. I even ruled out the option of 0% EMI given by the vendor as i thought it'll be more convenient to get it converted in EMI's from ICICI. But when i contacted the phone banking officer they informed that this feature is unavailable since past 6 months.

how can such a feature be deactivated without any prior information???

    Default EMI option

    Dear Sirs,
I have booked the Rail Tickets through IRCTC & while making payment of Rs.7510/- through my ICICI credit card ************0008 option of EMI was selected by mistake which was informed to bank & asked them to cancel the EMI facility as I wanted to make the payment.
Though I am not using the facility of EMI bank is asking to pay Rs. 7859.22 which is illegal.
I now want to pay Rs.7510/- only. Kindly guide for the same.

    Regards,
    Rammohan Kashikar

i had faced similar problem as Mr.Billab Biswas has faced. I had made couple of transactions through my ICICI Credit Card in pretext of EMI offer. But when i called customer care they refused it saying that bank had discontinued that offer. I called up their customer care, HO Mumbai, many times but they did not help me and put mail to care@icicibank.com and reply was same. And due to this I am unnecessarily paying interest for couple of months.

    Kindly do the needful

    Inderjit Singh
