Dear sir

I have with ICICI bank,my SB/AC-No- 002101555678 and also a Credit Card 4477 4746 0367 3008.

In my Credit card bill statement dated 12-March 2009 the due amt was Rs 1096/-and payment due date was 30th march 2009. I went to ICICI bank's Greater Kailash Branch,New delhi on 24th march and from my above stated SB/AC, got made a PAY ORDER No.200584 in ICICIBank credit card's favour and then deposited the pay order then and there, to make the full payment of the outstanding amount.
As expected this Amount of Rs.1096/- was immidately debited from my said S/B account .

I was shocked and amazed to recieve my next Credit Card statement dated 13th April 2009 wherein the above stated payment made for Rs1096/- was appearing as previous balance and late payment fee of Rs 400 has been imposed on me apart from some other charges. I was been told that ICICIbank credit card division has not received any payments from me.

After repeated visits to ICICI bank GK branch I was made to understand that due to Printing mistake that Pay order is under suspense account withICICI credit card division and that money will not get transfered back to my Saving bank account till that Pay order is cancelled. Hence as per their advise I requested to get The PO cancelled in the month of May.
After numerous further visits, in the month of september finally that PO was cancelled and the money came back to the concerned branch .
I immidately made a fresh payment Rs 1096 /- towards my credit card account. I was promised that the late fees and other charges levied on my account since March2009 till date will be removed .


Now ICICI bank is refusing to revese the charges and wants me to pay Rs.3800 which is only and only late fee charges + taxes etc.

Please advise how can I proceed to take legal action against the bank
