    Exclamation unwanted calls from hdfc bank

    Indecent stupid call treatening using bad languages from shanker nelson manickam road branch calling from fraudulant number 04466458650. i would like an apologise and compensation from this caller . the call was to my landline at 1.30 pm on 11/11/2009.
    the issue was nothing but the caller had the number to call . i have no dues nor any complaints . This matter becomes more serious here after this mail.

    Dear Madam,

    This is for your kind notice that i have been getting calls from 044-66458650 by Mr. MARTIN ( later found fake and his original name is Mr. SHANKER ) of Nelson manickyam branch, chennai. I am a student and have no liabilities with HDFC, either in loan or credit card section. This is the initial step that i am taking before reg. a complaint with the consumer court.


    Request you to please take stern steps to stop such practices of disturbing the normal citizens.

    Today i receive call from 044-66458650.in my mobile 9380021904
    Caller: Hello Mr Kamlesh
    Myself: Yes
    Caller: we are calling from Blue Durt Courier, we have one courier in your name please tell us the delivery address
    Myself: where is the courier from
    Caller: Its from Rajasthan
    Myself: i gave my address
    Caller : USING SOME LOCAL BAD LANGUAGE and ask that you have due of 3600 in HDFC CREDIT CARD
    Myself : I not even having HDFC saving account any loan or any credit card then what is the outsatanding
    Caller : Again bad language , talking roudly like Gundas and rowdies
    Myself : Sorry its Wrong number
    Caller: call me again and again

    Please look in to this matter as very serious and come to end of fraud calls

    Here's an interesting news-item for all those who have suffered harassment and humiliation at the hands of HDFC Bank Credit Card Customer Care Executives:

    Hisar, June 17
    A local court has summoned Aditya Puri, Managing Director of HDFC Bank, to appear in the court on July 17 in connection with a complaint filed against him on charges of extortion under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code.

    The complainant, local resident Gagandeep Mehta, has alleged that he held an HDFC Bank credit card and had been making regular payments to the bank. However, he changed his residence after which he did not receive any monthly statements.

    The bank issued him a recovery notice for having failed to pay the minimum outstanding dues. The complainant said after receiving the notice he deposited Rs 11,000 on February 2 last year and sought duplicate bank statements from December, 2008, to March, 2009. The bank refused to supply the statements.

    He again deposited a total of Rs 14,000 on three occasions, but the statements were still not supplied.

    Later, the bank offered him a settlement for Rs 27,600. However, when he asked for details of transactions, the bank refused. Instead he was issued a legal notice asking him to pay Rs 47,005. He alleged that he was threatened and abused by bank officials.

    The complainant then filed a complaint in the court of Sunita Gupta, Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, who has summoned Puri on July 17 to stand trial.
