    Default Salary taken by ICICI bank from my saving A/C without signing Auto Debit form

    Dear Sir,
    I am holder of a Credit Card (No. 4477474313585005), issued by ICICI Bank for the last 3 years. From the purchases to monthly payments, everything was going smoothly for the last – years until April 2009, when my financial position got slightly disturbed because of my wife’s delivery. I could not make my minimum payment due for around 3 months. When contacted by the bank’s collection agency, I paid them Rs. 6000/- and assured them to pay the balance amount due, as early as possible. I also have a Corporate Salary Account in ICICI Bank from my present employer. When I checked my account, I was shocked to see that my entire monthly salary was debited from my account without my knowledge or approval, to adjust the outstanding minimum amount due, which was not at all ethical or professional on their part. This way, they took my entire salary out of the account, leaving me with no cash in my account for even my grocery or house rent.

    I called up Customer care to take up the matter with them. They assured me that I will be receiving a call from the bank very soon to sort out the matter. But, bank people came to me to sign an auto debit form which I refused to sign. Once in a while some collection agents call me up for further payments, but when I tell them the story of last happenings, they leave assuring me for taking up the matter with the seniors and revert very soon. But nothing is really moving ahead.

    Kindly look into the matter and advice me if they are correct in their part for debiting my account without my knowledge or permission. Also guide me how should I proceed further in this regard.
