MindTree Ltd. Banglore called me for interview to their banglore office. Before going to banglore i confirmed with them that they will reimburse my travel expenses (no policy mentioned in the mail).

I got selected and they offered me job but the thing didn't work out and i didn't join MindTree.

But when i asked for my trevel expense reimbursment, they started saying that they have policy of no reimbursment of travel expense if candidate doesn't join.

Hi,

Have They given you any written confirmation that they will reimburse you the travel expenses in case you did not get selected or even if you got selected and do not want to join the firm.
If yes then you can ask them and they will have to give you the reimbursement but if not then you cannot force them to pay for your expenses.

First of all companies from bangalore generally don't give any offer for interview to anyone living outside bangalore. But if by any chance they do that then they generally ask people to come on thr own expense as thr are n no of people travelling for job from places to places and if everyone started asking for reimbursement even if they are not going to join them then the company would End up paying travel expenses and will have to be Shutted Down.


If you have any type of written confirmation for travel reimbursement then Go ahead and ask them to reimburse.
