The Technopark campus here would have its first full fledged branded personal computer manufacturing unit when Compu-Needs opens Friday.

"Our branded PC has been named as COM 10 and to start with we plan to manufacture 100 computers every month. Each of these machines would undergo a 48 hour test before they are sold," Gokul Govind, managing director, Compu-Needs told reporters here, Thursday.

Compu-Needs for the past 14 years has been a provider of hardware and software to a number of corporate clients.

"Our price range for branded PC's begins from Rs.13,000 and it could beat the price of a computer from the grey market," he said.

There are 80 IT companies in the Technopark campus engaged in software production and IT enabled services.

Compu-Needs has a large number of Technopark based software companies as its clients.
