Recently a patient complained about our lab reports...though the lab report wasn't wrong from our part she believes its not true...if in case she goes for a legal action against lab, would it hold against the lab in charge who signed the report but who didn't perform the test or is it that the lab has to face the legal issues......please give me your valuable feed backs.....

If she proves that the report provided by the lab is wrong then the lab may have to face the legal issues. The lab in charge should immediately consult with a person dealing with legal matters. He could tell you the perfect legal path of getting out of this issue. Laboratory reports must be reviewed to identify patients who require follow-up. Patient must be properly examined.
