I bought a Samsung DVD with 1 year warranty last year in the month of Sept.
I had a problem with my DVD as it stopped working a couple of months back. It was rectified by the a Samsung engineer at my place. He also told me that if this happens again within one year of purchase I'll get a new DVD or will get my money back.
Well it happened again and this time I got the complaint registered with Samsung Customer care on 27th June 2010 for the first time. I told them to replace it but they refused. There was no response from their side so I called their Customer care over and over again. I got the same request re-registered with same as well as other complaint numbers. I also tried to talk to their Tech Dept Manager Mr. B. R. Rizvi but I was told by the person on phone that he doesn't have time to talk to me. The complaint registration details for the same request are as follows :
Comp. # : 8414764342 27 Jun 2010
Comp. # : 8416082130 22 July 2010
Comp. # : 8414764342 06 Aug 2010
Comp. # : 8414764342 12 Aug 2010
Finally somehow after wasting a lot of time and money over the phone (with the Tech Dept People) I managed to call a Samsung Engineer to my place who eventually told me that he can't fix the problem then and there and the DVD set needs to be sent to their Customer care workshop. I spoke with the Pick-Up dept guy who told me to bring the set to their workshop by myself, to which I denied. At last after a couple of weeks a guy came over to pick up an AC form my place (because of some miscomminicaton at their end). I sent my DVD with him to the Samsung workshop. After weeks I called them up and only then I was told that some part of my DVD needs to be replaced and they don't have it.
So, after all these months of wait and harrasment they'll either give me a new set or will give me my money back. But for this to happen I'll have to give them another copy of my bill (I have already given them at least 5 copies of my bill on different occasions) and it is again me who's supposed to go to their location and submit it.
I want someone to help me to end this story and bring me out of the misery that I am in for last 3 weeks.
Thanks in advance.
