    Default Delivery Delay..My Fault?

    Hi sir,

    I had booked a Black Maruti Suzuki A-star Zxi on 1st Dec 2008 from competent automobiles ltd. Lajpat nagar ..New Delhi
    The problem is that the price of vehichle that time was 20,000 INR less than the price right now.
    First the delivery was scheduled to be on 4th January 2009 and then i got a call from the dealer that if i wanted a 2009 vehicle then u can wait till 14th Jan 2009.
    i agreed on that and the delivery was scheduled to be on 14th.
    but then the dealer kept delaying the delivery till 25th jan 2009.
    then again on 25th he said he cant deliver the car today.
    on the next day Maruti Announced a price hike in the A-Star.
    and after that the dealer finally delivered the car to me on 5th Feb 2009.
    Now the problem is that because of dealers fault why should i pay extra 20,000 bucks?
    perhaps it was their plan to delay the car and shell out extra money because they would have known
    the price of the car is going to increase.
    Please help me regarding this.
    ( They were so rude and badly behaved as well, and never gave any extra free accessories which almost every dealer gives now)

    Admin please...give me some advice n help me regarding this..
    i have faced lot of mental depression n frustration because of this.

    Hello,

    Do not pay extra amount, as you booked the car on the old rates.
    Call to the Maruti Customer care helpline and if still face any problem then feel free to contact us again.

    Car price on the date of booking to be charged - Delivery delayed for no fault of consumer - Excessive increased price can not be charged
    Complainant was alloted MARUTI on 2.7.90 -- Vehicle was to be delivered on or before 7.12.90 -- Car delivered in March, 1991 - - Price was increased with effect from 20.12.1990 -- Complainant was entitled to refund of excess price paid - - Refund ordered.

    Hi sir,
    I got in touch with maruti customer care regarding the matter..
    they told me to mail at contact@maruti.co.in n tell them the problem..

    Now they r saying the price on the date of delivery will be charged..now wat m i supposed to do??.
    It was not my fault that they delayed the car..
    I need the help of the consumer court regarding this...
    even if they are charging the price on date of delivery...then m i not liable for a price which was on the day of the promised delivery..
    please provide ur help..
