Greetings,
Please find below complaint which I sent to Hyundai Motors India Ltd regarding one of their Autorized Garage in Mavelikkara. Please dont go for Hyundai anymore as you may face similar issue in the near future.
It is with great disappointment I am writing this mail. We have a Hyundai Santro car and had taken it to SS Hyundai for a service/repair. The service centre details are provided below.
SS Hyundai,
Opp. CSI Church,
Michel Jn,
Mavelikkara - 690101
Ph: 0479-2344443
Our car details as as follows:
Hyundai Santro, 2004 model
Engine No: G4HD3C95138
Model - HAB Santro
Vin: malaa51hr4m416432
Registration: No. KL-04P 5040
It was given to SS Hyundai on 20-09-2011 with Job Card No R2201104669. After one week when my father called that garage, he was told that it was not ready and may take some couple of days to fix the issues. Afterwards the service advisor used to ignore the calls. So he had a doubt and went to the garage personally to check the status of the work. They had checked the records and informed him that they had delivered the car to the customer after the repair. He was shocked to hear that and showed them the original job card which states that the car is with SS Hyundai and requested to return the car immediately. Later they informed him that the service advisor himself settled the bill and had taken the car and resigned from SS Hyundai. They were not able to give further details about our car that time. Afterwards they informed us that it was taken by the service advisor for further repair at some unauthorized garage, which only God knows whether it is true or they just bluffed. If it had to be fixed at an unauthorized garage, we would have taken directly without going for Authorized Service Center. We suspect that somebody was trying to steal it or took it to the unauthorized agency for taking out the genuine parts. That made us feel that SS Hyundai is not up to the mark and they don't have any work ethics or professionalism at their work. They were not able to give a genuine response. Hence we filed a case in the local police station to avoid any future disputes which may arise during the period , as the car was supposed to be at SS Hyundai and also we don't know whether they had used our car for some indecent activities.
They keep on tracing the car by calling the resigned service advisor and finally they had informed us that it was given to MGF Hyundai service center at Kottayam by that unauthorized garage. From MGF Hyundai we came to know that the car was sent to them on 08-10-2011 and they opened the Job Card with No. R201109470. They were not knowing that who had sent it and were asking for original RC book for returning the car as if they felt that it was stolen. They had analyzed the problem and put the remarks as follows:
Complaint rectification only. No need to do the work as per customer request. Crank shaft compliant and it needs to be replaced.
SS Hyundai then informed us that they will take the car back and will repair it. But till date we have not received our car back and I am wondering whether they have a trained staff to change the crankshaft.
I am surprised to see that Hyundai is granting agency to unprofessional agencies without trained staffs to start Authorized Agency which really upset me. I was even thinking of changing the car to i20 or Accent. But due to this incident I am not at all thinking about Hyundai anymore. I will share this incident with my friends and colleagues who owns or are planning for Hyundai.
Before taking the case legally, I would like to the details of action which Hyundai Motors India Ltd can take it. If you are not able to take any further action I will take it legally and will publish our bad experience in leading newspapers.
Waiting for a positive reply at the earliest.
Regards,
Madhu Krishnan. A
