    Default Skoda Fabia Complaint

    Sir,

    As we have bought 1 Skoda Fabia(1.2 petrol classique) in the name of (Jyoti
    Madan) on 8th may '2009' (we got the delivery in the evening).
    But while coming home the car engine started missing nd showed EPC glowsign. The
    next day morning we complained to Mr Swami manager of Sai Automobiles the Skoda
    dealer in pardparganj (delhi) and we were called to the workshop on 10th may 2009
    where we were told that technically epc sign. comes nd the car starts missing which
    generally happens in all Skoda Fabia petrol variants so they erased the epc sign
    cleaned the injectors and the oil filter and told us to use normal petrol instead of
    hispeed petrol and told us that car is perfectly fine and there is no problem in the
    engine. and we were assured that any problem persits we will be fully cooperated
    since we are using normal petrol but again the same problem of engine missing is
    coming and we are not getting any help from the dealer as they are not assisting us
    at all.
    we have asked them to replace the car as this problem is coming again and again but
    the dealer is not at all helping us.
    the dealer staff even said us that we will not not take the car and spoke so
    unmannered and we even spoke to Mr. Singhania owner of Sai Automobiles who simply
    said us that he can't help in this matter.
    i have logded the complaint with Skoda customer care... and the complaint no.13E113709
    brought this matter in notice of Mr. Sudhir ( of Skodaauto India Aurangabad)
    same with Mr. Kulkarni ( of Skodaauto)

    But now no one is responding at all and we have been standing like fools outside Sai
    Automobiles totally helpless

    If no action is taken in this matter, we will take this matter with consumer court.
    As well as with media.
    so that everyone gets to know of Skoda company for selling defected/faulty cars. nd
    public gets aware that the cars manufactures like skoda are cheating people by
    selling faulty cars.

    All i want to say is that what kind of sales and service your company is providing
    is totally unsatisfactory.

    Default Skoda Fabia - Worst experience yet

    Skoda India and their dealers DO NOT CARE a damn about their customers.

    I bought a Fabia in June 09, and regret every moment. My complaint was badly handled right from the lady who is their "After Sales" contact person on their mail.

    After that I got a "survey" call wherein I explained everything again, I got a Complaint number, and thought that luck has smiled at last. But after 3 weeks, the complaint number has effected nothing.

    Complete insensitivity to the customer. I think Skoda is pulling a fast one on Indian consumers.

    The car is not made for Indians at all - they just force it down our throats. The levers are all designed for LHD cars, The bonnet can be opened only by the co-driver. Insensitivity at its best.

    Fabia problems :

    The window mechanism button console can be picked out by a 10 year old. Skoda dealer confirmend that this is the problem with EVERY FABIA, and Skoda is aware.

    Bonnet opening lever can be pulled out by a 7 year old. Skoda dealer says that the snap fit does not snap fit sometimes! Sorry ! nothing can be done about it.

    Snap fit fastners of the break light mounted on the rear windscreen are broken when the car is delivered.

    My Skoda India experience I can understand why Skoda is an unpreferred brand in Europe.

    Default tyre problem and breaks problem

    dear miss.ashiwine thakur,

    its quiet unpleasurable to write this email to you as its regarding quality standard, service delivery and customers safty, which was highly consider by us while purchasing the car from your company skoda.

    Quality, service and safty were the only thing in our mind to pay high price to skoda comparetively over other brands of car in same segments.

    Since the time i bought the car it has been taken to the workshop on several times. It had to be taken for bad smell coming out of aircondition, or poor applications of breaks, once upon our complain of breaks, dealer got the breaking software upgrade. After that time again i had problem, break got jamed and i had to apply hand break to stop the car, i reported to workshop incharge he had kept the car under observations and then car was given back to us. I am not sure that if this problem does not occured again.

    With this we are facing new problem, air bubble has surfaced out on the outerside of the 2 tyers of the car, and wonder if other 2 may even have same or other problem in them.
    I have given the car since last 15 days to the dealer to change the tyers and they are asking me to pay 40% of tyers cost.

    I think this car is sold to us without checking wether its safe for user or not. We are highly disatified by answear of general manger mr. Sameer khothari at blitzauto.
    I request you to take back the car and give us our money back so we can buy other car of good brand which has safty, quality and service after sales.

    Fahrenhiet automobiles,delhi are worst as they started from last 8-9 months, it take me month to book a car there in which they hide the skoda schemes, they itself said book a car next month to avoid giving schemes, then after booking they taken another one month and still not gave the car. Skoda dealers are worst and i think skoda company in india is of no use as they also not done anything in that. I want to do my bit to close such companies in our country.

    Default Goda (horse) seems to be more reliable than a SKODA

    Hello All,

    I purchased a Fabia 1.2 petrol in August 2008 and the car seams to have spent more time at the service center than with me. I have driven about 17000 km. Within 1 year i have had the following problems

    1) Defective A/c blower
    2)Second visit – a/c gas refilling
    3) Engine vibration(major issue), a/c problem, ABS failure , low mileage and grinding sound in the steering the wheel.

    The latest news is that engine cylinder head has to be changed......

    I spoke to one Mr Rahul Kulkarni (Customer Service in Skoda) and even after all my cry about the car , he swears that Fabia is one of the most reliable car on earth.

    What do i say a customer? i feel i paid huge money to get a piece of shit.... Who said customers are king ???? Its the manufacturer......

    Pls. send a complaint letter to the MD of the Co. at their Head Office address. Mention all you complaint and wait for the response for 15 days only.

    Default False Assurances & Promised Features not delivered

    Hello,

    I booked for a Skoda Fabia Classic 1.4TDI-C.Beige, car with one of the dealers in Bangalore.
    I was referred to the dealer through Car Wale.com and the sales person from the Showroom called me up and booked a Test Drive of the vehicle.

    The problem started since then. The sales representative came with a Vehicle which is a higher end version (i.e Ambiente) than the one which I had asked for.
    During the test drive and post the completion of test drive the sales guy explained the features and when asked repeatedly said that I would get Alloy Wheels, Height Adjustable seats and ABS as a part of the model that I would be booking. The other features of Ambiente model i.e Fog lamps, Keyless entry etc will not be provided.
    So based on this discussion I went to the showroom and booked by paying an advance of Rs.50,000/- as the entire deal had to be closed before 31st Oct for me to take benefit of the festival discounts that they were offering.

    In the showroom when the sales person showed me the car color of a sample classic model which was there in the showroom, I showed him the wheels and said that does not look to be alloy wheels, are you sure I am going to get mine with Alloy wheels, he said Yes.

    Also I asked for a checklist of features which I can check upon, he said at the time of delivery we will give the checklist and explain all the features.

    So I payed a downpayment of Rs. 2.65,000 and the rest was arranged through a loan from HDFC Bank. The full amount of Rs.6,80,000 including the 1st advance EMI and Loan processing charges was paid well in advance before the delivery of the car.

    Then on the day of delivery i.e on 9th oct, when I went to the showroom, he was not there (stated that he is sick) and there were issues with the vehicle features (additional features like Alloy wheels, ABS and seat height adjustments) missing based on which this deal has not been considered through.
    Also the car has been registered under my name with the local RTO. I did not take the delivery of the Car inspite of having paid all the money and telling the sales guy that I would not be available in the country post 19th Oct as I would need to go out on business visit.

    It was agreed by the dealer authorized representative & Manager that they will look in to opitons and discuss with the sales representative on what was promised as a part of the deal. I was conveyed on Sat Oct 10th on phone by the showroom manager that the sales representative had made a mistake of committing (Alloy wheels, seat height Adjuster, ABS) for this particular model and it was entirely his fault.

    I was told that they would come back on Monday Oct 13th on what could be the next steps and if these features could be provided.
    Meanwhile the sales representative met me twice once at My Office (can provide his entry pass copy and the capture of his video clip at our office) to discuss on this and conveyed that since he has made a mistake they would try and fit some of the features and if required I can go in for the next model which is Ambient which has the same features at an extra price.

    I have not agreed to pay any additional price as this is a mistake done by authorized sales rep from the dealer who visited and committed to me.

    I then went in for additional round of discussions with sales rep suresh Kumar, showroom Representatives, sales Manager and their lawyer. I told them I would be taking the delivery provided the features as promised by your sales reprsentative are delivered.

    Later the Authroized representative from the Dealer said they would be cancelling the deal as they are not in a position to deliver what was promissed (mainly Alloy wheels, Adjustable seat height, ABS) and they will bear the charges for cancellation of the registration with RTO, cancellation of the bank Loan with HDFC and other formalities for which she needs a letter from my end.

    I told them that I would be able to issue a letter provided the deal cancellation terms (stated below are discussed & agreed with your management & Lawyer) are signed off by both parties, for which a discussion was planned.
    From my end the Cancellation Terms were set as below:

    1. Please provide a letter stating that the deal is being cancelled by the Dealer as the features promised by Sales Rep duing the sale cannot be delivered. ( This is to ensure that I won't have future problems either the RTO angle or Finance)
    2. Letter from RTO obligating me from the registration of the vehicle under my name and details.
    3. Letter from HDFC bank stating that the Bank Loan has been cancelled( charges towards bank loan cancellation to be borne by Dealer as discssed with their sales rep).
    4. Return of all my cheques, documents and copies of bank statement provided for processing the loan.
    5. Interest for the money payed for a period of 15 days from Oct 1st to 17th Oct 09.
    6. Compensation for the
    • Mental agony & harrazment ,stress and humiliation faced before the family and friends, loss of credit worthiness with HDFC Bank.
    • Time wasted from my end on this deal, my salary reimbursements for 2 days I had to take off to do this deal, my charges to come to your showroom, documentation etc.

    Then they came back asking for a discussion with their lawyer and now they say its entirely the fault of the Sales rep and they will not be able to provide any additional features and they would like me to take the delivery of the car as is since its already registered under my name.

    Can you please provide me some help on how this can be resolved and can i go to consumer court to get this resolved.

    Need some quick reply and advice as the car is still in the showroom, I am paying the second EMI and looks like the dealer is trying to employ a delay strategy and somehow push it through without any consideration for me. He has got all his money and the pain is on my end so he wants...to push it and do the waiting game. He says if I go to consumer forum it will get settled only later than an year.

    Default SKODA is the worst car company in India

    Not only is their product technically inferior (god I wished I had known that before I purchased it) their dealerships are notorious for "creating issues" when you take your car in to have them serviced. Have you ever seen an inside of a Honda service department, go and compare it to Giriraj in Gurgaon. They are blatantly damaging cars while the consumer is held hostage trying to get the car fixed, always at prices that are "INSANELY EXORBITANT".

    My advice is stay away from these jerks and purchase a real car, one that has history of customer service and support (Honda, Toyota, etc.). This organization from top down is corrupt and a ripoff. I am amazed that no one has sued these guys in court or that there hasn't been a sting operation against them in the media.

    Buyers beware!

    I am amazed, shocked and in Awe to see such cases of bad car quality and service. "Das Auto" and over 100 years of global symbol of Quality is been resulting in such kind of bad experiences with people.

    I have never heard about such number of complaints with respect to the Service for any other cars.

    I just took test drive today and really liked the Car. Amazing Road Grip, Solid built, Good A/c, Good Music System, Good Leg and Boot Space, Good Engine response and sharp navigation to point a few. However, the engine was so much noisy (Petrol Version) that I was able to hear it from the first floor ( Inside my flat). The sales rep. had no answer for that and later they said that, this car has met with 3 accidents and has been tested by number of people so due to rough driving and mishandling, this is the issue. The Car was driven for only 10000 kms and had so much Noise ??
    Even Tata's Vista or Manza (Diesel or Petrol versions) don't make that much of noise.

    We've been using Maruti-Suzukis, Chevys, Hyundais, Hondas, Tatas and Toyotas for a long time now, and so I thought to go for this one. But now on a serious note, this seems to be the most critical factor before buying a car.

    The most disgusting after sales service....Workshop is 1/4th the size of any other company...I bought a fabia 1.2 petrol in september... on the 2nd day of purchase i discovered a wheel allignment problem...the car would drift badly on one side...they kept the car for a day and solved the issue....
    1 week later a problem in the clutch...gears would not change smoothly...they kept the car for a day again and claimed to solve the issue....1 month later both these problems crop up again....they kept the car for 2 days and claimed to solve the issue....after the 1st service in january the same problems crop up....
    now in march i saw a sudden drop in the mileage and plus had these 2 problems already....I gave the car for a check up....MR.Nawaz one of the useless agent there kept the car for 2 days....I had to keep following up as they never call...2 days later he says there is a problem in the engine and that it would have to be opened and checked and it would take 1 week - 10days to see...So not even a 7-8month old car and the engines being opened.....
    Next - I mail everyone in skoda india as mr.nawaz the idiot tells me he cannot do anything about it....
    After writing to several addresses i get 1 reply from some rahul kulkarni who thinks its some game being played....A very casual reply.... I somehow manage to get a senior guys number some MR.dikshit who is another "all talk no cork" guy like the others....He claims to call me back everyday and does'nt respond...I keep writing at forums n places, doesnt help....I talk to the dealers they say they cannot do anything about it...I keep writin to that RAHUL KULKARNI he doesnt respond....I demand a replacement of the car, obviously they do not respond.....
    So there I am 10 days later, I yet have to keep calling NAWAZ the great and he tells me 2 more days as they need an approval from germany to release my car....
    I HAVE DECIDED TO SELL THIS SHITT CAR AND MOVE AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS AS I DID NOT BUY THIS CAR TO KEEP IT IN THE GARAGE OR TO KEEP CALLING AND FINDING OUT THE STATUS....

    Default complaint against K.C motors skoda jammu

    Sir i have skoda laura whose reg . no is JK02Ak 0039 model 2009. The owner of this car is sukhwinder kour. Actually i am geting problem in engine check light which is coming again and again . I have taken the car to company but the service men there refuse to solve my problem. kindly help in my matter as soon as possible

    Hi,

    Four months back I have bought SKODA Fabia. Initially everything was good but due to some issue (Dikky was not opening w/o opening the front door), I have sent the car to SKODA service station. Now it been there 4 times and I have 5 more new issues which have cropped up after sending car to SKODA service station. I am a fan of German auto-mobile and engineering but Indian SKODA management of not listening to customer is a big pain and shaking my trust in the brand. Still I have issues existing like some voice coming from streaning, dikky issue, not good average etc.

    It's really a pain to have SKODA. Let me know how can you help me here, I have all the job card with me and skoda also have all details in the system.

    i bought a skoda fabia elegence in 2009 june. the company had given so many offers! but i didnt get any of them even a mudflap!.the services are very bad! and i did not get any free services and even a warranty... after buying about two months my foglamb,horn were damaged, the servicers take money from me for repairing! and after a six months my windscreen washers water containers had been get damaged! then also they give no warranty! i had a trust and belive in skoda! so that only i buy a car, i had used so many cars! and the services are better! but through this incidents.all the trust in your company has been losed!
    the services to the costomers of skoda auto in trivandram,india is very bad!
    i hope you will kindly solve my problems
