The above mentioned is details of my santro car insurance, which I am using from many years since I was said bajaj gives good service. But now I really regret for that.
Reason is, my insurance was expiring on 15 oct 10, so I called customercare on 12th (no:18002095858 ) and req to send an agent to collect cheque and renew it. I was promised the agent will come next day i.e on 13th to collect premium. But he never turned up. So through a friend I got a local b’lore bajaj alliance agent ph no. Called him told about renewal, he turned up and took cheque on 14th. Since I told him I had claimed earlier he increased my this year premium from rs.4058 to rs.4858. Agent promised that it will be renewed & be effective from15th midnight since I told it was expiring on 15th midnight 12:00. Agent also promised of giving the policy within 2days.
But when I contacted agent on 19th after 4days and asked for policy since its not legal to drive without insurance ,agent said its renewed on 15th only and is ready, promised of sending it on my email same day and hardcopy through courier in next day or two. But till 23rd dint get any mail or courier so called him and asked he said I had informed to mail but they dint do and promised of doing it immediately once he reaches office. I was scared of using car without insurance but he said its done for 16th and not to worry.
Unfortunatley on 24th oct 10 evening 7pm car met with accident with a motorbike. Front portion was damaged but no injuries to any one and even bike guy had minor bruces. We both mutually spoke and left. And I did inform traffic police madiwala station and have a acknowledgement of accident. Called agent and informed, he again said will send for sure next day. But never turned up. I did call him asking for policy. May be since I was badly in need of policy agent said I need to pay extra rs1100 as premium because of claims earlier. I had informed about claim during giving cheque and had already given around rs.800 extra for this year premium.
Since I had to get my car repaired soon I agreed and told will pay even that. Then when called next day said that in next coming claim I get excess 2500 deducted , it was not informed earlier. I did agree to that and agent asked me to mail stating I agree for excess amount then only he will issue policy. I did mail him immediately to seshadri.v@bajajallianz.co.in of j.c road branch and requested for policy. I was just played around I feel . Same agent who had earlier said everything is done only need to send and since I badly needed because of accident all this drama I faced. Still that day and even two days later no call from him nor issued me policy after agreed to his words but was said policy is done way before(5days before) accident when I had called asking for it.
Till now my damaged car is in workshop-advaith Hyundai with no work started. Its caused lot of inconvenience to my job and transport. Though its not a major accident of huge amount claim bajaj has not responded. Felt bajaj has no respect to customers words even if we agree to your words. About this issue I did kept informing customer care on 18002095858, called them on 12th,24th,27th ,28th seeking for help & have recorded the entire issue with agents.
What do I do now…? Till now haven’t received policy after giving cheque and even agreed for all excess amount…. Just to inform u my other car ‘verna’ whose insurance expires on 27th oct 10 I dint renew it since it was bajaj alliance. Got a new insurance of ‘tata aig’ since unhappy with bajaj alliance. Now I do inform my relatives and friends about this and not to take and change if taken from bajaj to any other insurance.
It’s a severe inconvenience and distrust caused to me by no mistake of mine but of bajaj alliance. Kindly request u to resolve this before I go escalate further.
