Dear Sir/Madam,



I am a disgruntled customer from Mumbai. I bougth a Skoda Octavia Rs car from Skoda
Auto in June, 2007. Since the time of purchase, my car has been repeatedly going to
the Skoda worshop for correcting one quality related problem or the other. Whist
several parts were replaced due to quality defects, some of the issues remain
unresolved. Both the Skoda workshop (JMD) and Skoda Head Office have been most
uncooperative in helping me sort out the problems.

I had been complaining about the brakes of my car, from within one month from the
time of purchase. However no concrete solution was ever presented to me. My car has
been repeatedly visiting the Skoda workshop but each time the car was returned
without rectifications. The workshop is located at quite a distance from my
residence but I put up with the troubles all this while.

On 17th Mar'09, my car was again examined at a Skoda workshop by a technician from
their Head Office. The problem was finally identified to the brake pads which
required to be changed. However, to my astonishment, Skoda Auto has informed me that
they will not rectify this problem under warranty. After specifically agreeing (via
email) to correct all defects in my car, Skoda has blunty refused to carry out the
necessary repairs under warranty.

I have all the emails exchanged with Skoda and their dealership over the past
months. The customer service extended to me has been nothing short of disappointing.
After buying a Rs 15lac car, this is not the type of service one would expect. The
car sold to me had many defects which further aggrivated with use.

Please guide me on how I could get justice against this cheating company. You would
be aware that the consumer court has recently ruled in favour of the customer in
another case filed against Skoda Auto. In my opinion, this company sells vehicles of
substandard quality.
