I bought a car in the mid month of Mar-2007 on corporate loan. When I
booked the car, dealer promised that he will give 2007 model. That was
the reason I didn't book in Jan/Feb. At the time of delivery, he
didn't gave me any documents where I can find the actual manufacturing
date. He stated that all the documents will be handed over to
hypothecator (bank). After 4 months when he handed over the RC book, I
came to know that the car is manufactured in 2006 and date mentioned
in the RC book is also Dec-2006. When I asked the manager, he promised
that he will get it changed to 2007 date and it is printing mistake.
With so many followups also, he has not given me the RC book till
date. I am running the car with only the tax receipt. Bank is also
least bothered. I have escalated the issue to general manager of the
Maruthi dealer last year. Till date no response. Please advice me
whether I can take any action against dealer for not keeping the
promise of manufacturing date. Thanks in advance.
