    Default delay in delivery of vehicle maruti swift

    dear sir,

    I have booked Maruti Swift car to the SK CARS dealer at Salem, tamilnadu on 20.05.2010 in the name of mr. s.manisekar and made payment of advance of Rs.5 lakhs approximately in the form of DD to the dealer. But so far car was not delivered to me and further when i enquired it is learnt that the key and RC book was stolen by somebody while it was transported from manufacturing unit to the dealer place.. so i kindly request you to accept my complaint and do the needful to me to get the vehicle as soon as possible.

    Dear Sir,
    This is to bring to your kind notice, the harassment I am facing from Maruti. The case facts are as follows for your kind consideration:
    I booked a Maruti Swift LXi model from Competent Motors, Cannaught Place on 23.06.2010 after being ASSURED by Mr. Vishi (Marketing executive – mobile no. 9871424548) for a discount of Rs. 3000 along with accessories (mud-flaps, steering wheel cover and footmats) and delivery of Vehicle within 1 week. As I was in a hurry to buy a vehicle, the offer of delivery within one week and a discount of Rs. 3000 was highly lucrative. Mr. Vishi promised that since Maruti was closed for maintenance reasons, he would definitely get the delivery done in the first week of July. I arranged for the funds (Rs. 4,36,505) in the following manner –
    a) Rs. 5000 (payed towards Car Booking) - vide Cash Receipt No. 7105 dated 23.06.2010 (Copy enclosed)
    b) Rs. 1,31,505 (payed towards Registration Fees, MCD Parking Fees, Vehicle, Insurance, Regis-Charges, Num-pl. Charges and Unloading Charges) – vide Cheque No. 340131 (State Bank of India-Chandni Chowk) dated 02/07/2010 (Copy enclosed)
    c) Rs. 300000 (payed as Balance for full amount of Rs. 4,36,505) through SBI BR-EZEE CAR LOAN on 06.07.2010 (Copy of Bank Account statement attached)
    All the activities for full payment of the car were completed by me before the ending of first week of July, 2010 but the dealer declined to give the car stating that it will be coming within two to three days. This rhetoric of his continued whenever I contacted him and I got peeved by his empty promises. Finally, when I questioned his commitment, he said that he is helpless as the car is not getting manufactured from Maruti .
    At this juncture, I conveyed my grievance to Maruti on 18.07.2010 through the Maruti ‘Contact Us’ link given on the website. I received a mail on 19.07.2010 stating that my Case Number: 7883939731 has been forwarded to the concerned department. There was no communication in any form (whether telephonically or otherwise) after this from Maruti end nor from the Dealer end. After 6 days, again I wrote a mail to Maruti to enquire about my case details, but sadly again I was not given any update on my case matter. Instead, I was directed to contact the Head Office for my details. I contacted the numbers provided in the mail but none of them were functional. Again I wrote a strong mail criticizing Maruti for inaction, but at the end of the day, I was not updated of any action which had been taken from Maruti end.(Copy of the complete communication with Maruti is attached).
    On top of this, the delivery of the same car – Swift LXi has been made on 26.07.2010 to Shri Bharat Rajak, who booked the car on the same day and completed all formalities at the same time along with me by Competent Motors, Cannaught Place.
    At this juncture, I have a few questions for Maruti to answer:
    Q1. Why customer is given a false promise of delivery if cars are not there? I would have appreciated the delay, had I been informed right in the beginning that car would be delivered within a quantified period. (If Maruti uses cheap marketing skills for sale of cars and taking customer for a ride, then this is highly deplorable). I would have preferred Hyundai or any other if I knew the delays involved. I would have never gone in for purchase of a Maruti car in the first place itself.
    Q2. The bank loan I took is having daily interest calculatation. Who is responsible to pay the interest of almost a month ? Is Maruti not responsible for giving the car after full and final payment?
    Q3. Why should the customer suffer after making the full payment if Maruti makes tall claims and still not deliver?
    Q4. Is there really a shortage of cars or the Maruti is making false claims to increase the popularity of the car?
    In such a scenario, one severely doubts the credibility of Maruti, first on my grievance, then on the delivery of the car and finally the after sales services it would offer me after I receive the car (I don’t know when that auspicious day will come).

    Hope that you understand my concern and will accept my complaint and do the needful to me to get the vehicle as soon as possible along with the interest I have accrued without the delivery of the car and with the promised accessories from the dealer as the dealer also does not pick up the phone after repeated calling.

    Post delay in delivery maruthi swift VXI

    dear Sir,

    I had booked a maruti Swift swift VXI one of the Dealer Adarsha Motors, Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh. The date when the Booking amount of Fifty thousand was paid on 14/08/2010 with receipt no. 517. The purpose of booking this Vehicle was to gift it to my wife.

    I was promised that he vehicle will be delivered to me by 30/09/2010. I have been following up with your dealer Adarsha Motors, Karimnagar for the same almost every week during October, and almost every two days since October. I have been assured of the delivery on 30/10/2010.

    But on further enquiry on 08/11/2010 I was informed me to wait for another one more month.

    It is harrowing experience booking a car with the market leaders.
