Post re: defect in hyundai i10 a newly purchased car

    Hi,

I am Arpit Patel from Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

I have purchased Hyundai i10 Era black Color just before 20 days from Aldiam Motors - Hyundai Authorized dealer, Vadodara.

Car has run hardly for 500 km yet, yesterday i.e. 25 July 2010, when I went out, suddenly smoke started coming our from the bonnet. I put my car to the nearest service station i.e. at Aldiam Motors, Vaododara.

Today, 26 July 2010, I am told by the Aldiam Motors, that the clutch plate of the car has been burnt. And, it is not covered into warranty. I am just not able to understand that car just has run for 500 km, then how could this things happen.

For your information, I am not a newbie driver, I have an experience of about 15000-16000 km of driving. This things has happened first time in my life. So, I firmly believe that there could be a manufacturing defect in certain parts.

So, I am requesting you to please look into the matter as soon as possible.

    Regards,
    Arpit Patel.
