Hi,

I bought a Chevrolet Optra 1.8 LT for 3.85 Lacs from Sanjay Motors Hadapsar Pune on 11th December 2009. I was happy with the car and also the dealer offered warranty for anything bad that goes on. I drove for around 20 KM on the First day as I got the car pooja done. Did not use it for 3 days after that. On 4th day I took it to office (only 3 KM from Home) and noticed mild stuttering noise in the engine. I went to the Dealer and told him and he asked me to change the oil and get the car service done. When I drove back the car made noise of a 20 year old auto and later on when I showed it to the mechanic they told me that the car engine was adultrated and sold to me in that condition and was on a verge of break down. The entire Engine Chamber is conked and the crank with the connecting rod in teh engine is completely damaged. I was billed for 1.66 Lakh by GM motors Pune which forced me to talk to the Dealer again who didnt care about it. HE SAID AFTER DELIVERY NOTE IS GIVEN YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THAT HAPPENS!! But it was only the 6th day and I had driven hardly 5 KM!! Had never even crossed 70 Kmph. Finally I had to take it to a local garage and repair it for 85000 rupees. Its still under repair and I have all the Invoices and Slips. The Dealer is being rude and harsh though I have kept my complete calm even though I am the one who is in deep pain. I am a salaried employee and I owe bank a money. It was my dream to buy a car and this is what has happend. Can anybody do anything about this to help or am I still in a country where we get no legal help?
