I booked a Skoda Octavia Ambiente 1.9 TDi from MARIKAR (MOTORS) LTD calicut on Sept 5th 2009 05/09/09 and got delivered on 17/09/09 .When i look at the delivery time there are some damaged parts on the car which the manager guaranteed to replace the damaged Parts at the First service . According to the The Form 21 (Sale latter ) issued to me the manafacturing date opf the car was january 2009 . I was surprised how there is an 8 month delay but the manager at MARIKAR MOTORS LTD calicut convinced me by saying that there will be some delay for this kind
of premium vechiles. i accepted and took the delivery .

After 7 days when i went to RTO to register my car they find out that the car was made in 2008 from the VIN(Chasis number) and ask me to provide the Year decoder for VIN of skoda or CUT OFF Chassis as proof that this vechile is Manafactured in 2008 . Chassis/VIN : TMBCGH1U88A009754
Engine No: ALHE25966 .
When i contacted the delear they told that they cannot provide any of the things asked by RTO , you have to proceed only with the sale latter given by the delear . Now my vechile is kept at home unregistred .

When i chicked the Glass and the tyers it is clearly mentioned that the make was 2008 . With all the evidance now i strongly belive that i have been cheated by MARIKAR (MOTORS) LTD calicut and skoda .I had lots of trust on the brand when i bookd the car .
Please let me know what are the legal procedures for cheating me

Dear Sir,

First of all, send a notice to the dealer to refund you the paid amount and took the vehicle back. Send one copy of that notice to the Head Office of the Co. too. In your notice, mention a time frame to give you the refund and after that time frame, if you havn't got any positive response, you may proceed in consumer forum against the dealer to get the redressal.

I have experienced similar issue - Marikar Engineers / Skoda

I have booked for Fabia C. Beige - 2009 Model.... waited for 3 weeks...
after 4 weeks Showroom manager told me "Fabia C. Beige - 2009 model is not
available - we can provide you 2008 C. Beige or 2009 Model white"... I have
opted for 2009 model white.... but they have delivered 2008 model white with
a forged sales certificate stating that it is a 2009 model....

In my case the RTO didn't notice the issue and registered the vehicle

It is their common practice

I think Mr. Jithesh should also file a criminal case with a base of "Forgery
for the purpose of cheating".. they have cheated Mr. Jithesh and delivered a
vehicle from the old stock by forging the sale certificate
and convincing him it as from new stock.
