I am Sridar Kannan, Male, 43 Years from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

I had initially taken a Car Loan from GE Maruti Countrywide from Hyderabad vide Loan Account No. MMH000019787 4 years ago. I have then transferred to Bangalore sometime in 2007 and the loan account is transferred to Bangalore effective from 4th Jan 2007 with a new loan account no. MBAM00015814. The loan is getting expired on 4th August 2010.

On 23th July 2009, I have talked to the one of the Customer Care Officers by the name Anand and paid Rs.72,370 bearing no. 221022 dated 24.07.2009 towards pre-closure of Car Loan with their Chennai Office. I did speak to them again and they wanted me to check with them after4 days once the DD is cleared and they wanted me to fax & email the copy of the RC Book. This was done by me again on 30th July 2009. Since their system was down for couple of days, they were unable to provide me any information / data and wanted me to call them after 2 days.

On August 3rd, 2009, they have registered my request and provided me the reference for NOC with the Reference No. #BA00375729. Even though they had mentioned that the NOC will be issued within a week's time, surprisingly I am yet to receive the NOC. I had made umpteen number of calls and surprisingly the response was very bad and they did not allow me to escalate to the managers at all.

Lastly, I have sent my colleauge to their Chennai branch along with the request letter for NOC, it was shocking / surprising to hear that the request was not all registered and they are registering once again. Chennai office registered for the fresh request again with the no.#BA00376391. I am nowhere seeing the light even at the end of the tunnel and I really could not understand what is in store for others.

GE Maruti Countyrwide is not willing to release the NOC inspite of the loan is closed on time...

In addition to that, after closing my loan account, they had presented the EMI cheque again to my banker - ICICI Bank and it got returned for the reason 'Insufficient Funds". Since I have closed the loan, I have not kept any balance and I am told that GE Countrywide will not deposit the cheque. Surprisingly since they dont have the proper system in place, they had deposited the cheque and got returned. While the bank had debited Approx. Rs.400/- for cheque return charges, my reputation and image with the bank is totally spoiled and damaged.
