    Default Important: Car Loan Issue HDFC Bank

    Hi Consumer Court,

    This issue is regarding HDFC car loan.

    Few days back I have applied for a Car loan through HDFC bank, executive was Balaji(HDFC car loan dept, Bhandarkar road). I was getting interest rate of 10.5%. My car delivery date was 22 Jan 2011 and I have conveyed this message to Balaji. After all this communication I have given all the documents along with the check on 18th Jan 2011 and Balaji has committed that the It will be disbursed on the same day and next day you will be getting call from the showroom for further processing.

    Suddenly on Friday, 21 jan 2011 Balaji called me and said that, Today itself I have got an email from my senior that rates have been changed and not its 11.5%. I asked him how it can be possible if the file is already disbursed 3 days back, I should have gotten the old rates.

    I went to HDFC Car loan dept,last friday, located at bhandarkar road, spoke to Rahul Dhamande and asked, the file is suppose to be disbursed long back and you are giving me new rates, how that can be possible? What all he came up with lame excuses. Like you are not the only customer facing this issue, there are other 40. After all this conversation no body was taking responsibility of this issue. I asked them if i won't be getting an answer i will be escalating this issue and after saying this line itself, they were agreed to give me rate of 10.5%. I was totally surprised.

    I have sent email to the sales head but didn't get any response.

    I think probably this is the right forum where i can get my answers.

    Default Inconvenience and mental harassment by HDFC Auto Loan Dept.

    I have applied for car loan at HDFC bank last week and they told me my application is pre-approved and I can get the loan in 3 days. I already have a salaried account with the bank along with a credit card.

    No documents have been collected from my side except PAN Card and a photograph and till now my application has not been approved and its under processing and whenever I call their customer care, they give me the response, "its under processing, please wait". Everytime they promise to arrange a call back with relationship manager to address this issue but no one ever care to call me back. I contacted Grievance office, Mumbai and they gave me the contact number of person who is responsible for my application. When I talked to him, he told me my application is under processing because address verification is not completed yet. I would like to ask at this point Isnt it sufficient enough that I have salary account with bank and I am active HDFC platanium Credit card user to prove that my address verification has already been done and still if they want to do it then they should understand that no one is available during day time at home. A person came for verification and he gave the report that house was closed, obviously it will be closed on weekdays, I conveyed the same message to verification guy and he still gave this report causing unnecessary trouble and incovienence to me. All this drama resulted into delay and my application is still not approved. In crisp, bank do not care for their customers at all and I would sincerely recommend do not indulge with any kind of services with the HDFC bank in future. I am planning to cancel all my accounts with the bank. I was in US for 4 years and if such irresponsible and poor customer service was happened in US, I would have sued them.

    This is the most horrible experience that I had with HDFC bank, they made false promises which they cant stick upto and dont give reasonable answer when someone tries to contact them. I dont understand what verification they are doing when I didnt even submitted any document to them and I already have a salary account with them along with credit card.


    Due to their poor customer service, I am unable to get the delivery of my car. I would have applied to SBI or any other nationalized bank and avail lower intrest rate if waiting time was not the constraint with me.
    I urge for immediate action needs to be taken against my application and all those people who caused this unnecessary delay.

    Default Cheating by HDFC Bank car loan

    I have applied for a Car loan through HDFC bank, executive was Naresh (HDFC car loan dept). I was offered the interest rate of 11.5%, monthly EMI 8798.00 for 4.0 lakhs loan amount tenor 60 months by Mr. Naresh. After all this communication I have given all the documents on 18th Sep 2011 and Naresh has committed that the It will be disbursed with in two days and next day you will be getting call from the Bank for further processing. I received the SMS from the HDFC Bank on 20.09.2011 conformation of loan approved not mentioned any details.



    I Received SMS from the HDFC bank on 23.09.2011 confirmation of disbursement, I was surprised, in the SMS mentioned my EMI 9003.00 for 4.0 lakhs loan amount tenor 60 months, I called to Mr. Naresh, he said I will check with bank and get back to you, for one week he given same answer, after one week he stopped lifting my phone, then I called from some other phone and I asked him, then he said your loan account logged in from showroom, so your interest rate is increased, still he not given the exact interest rate for my loan he told 12.0%, I was waiting for the letter to come from the bank, yesterday (11.10.2011) I received the letter from the bank , in the letter the interest rate mentioned was 13.0%.


    Mr. Naresh and Finance Manger from Maruti Mr Hanmanth rao they cheated me and some of my signatures forgeried by Mr Naresh

    This is the most horrible experience that I had with HDFC bank, they made false promises which they can’t, and please do the needful.

    I think probably this is the right forum where i can get my answers.
