correspondence I have had with GE Money since termination of my agreement. Under the terms of the consumer credit act I exercised the right to avail of the voluntary termination of vehicle 08D21123 Agreement number: 957430279
By opting for this method and having paid the amount of half the agreement this should absolve me from all liabilities having returned the vehicle directly to Merlin Motors and completing a full audit form.
The vehicle was purchased on the 14.02.2008 and was returned in perfect condition, there was no damage to the vehicle and as the vehicle was over 24 months old normal wear and tear & depreciation would apply to the vehicle allowances.
Since returning the vehicle, GE Money have sent me a letter to advise there was damages to the vehicle upon receipt of this I called GE Money & was passed to four different departments with a manager to call me back which to no surprise never materialised.
I called back on three subsequent days and finally received one call-back from manager who assured me that she would complete the following actions:
1. log a complaint,
2. Send the clearance letter
3. Provide documentation including photographic evidence of damages
4. Clear the charges as they were unjustified
5. Contact Merlin Car auctions to void the unfounded damages
6. Return a call to me by Friday the 10th December
None of the above materialised and I have since left 8 voicemails : (Please advise if you need to view my call log to see the number of calls).Instead I received a generic letter stating to contact them if I couldn’t pay the outstanding balance and to come up with a proposal.
Complete scam and I have all photos to prove no damage, car has also been sold since at auction.
