I have taken a car loan form Rs. 3,01,000/- from SBI in Jan 2006. the EMI mentioned in the contract paper is Rs. 6143. But today after 3 years, SBI is telling me that the EMI is Rs. 6587 from the beginning itself and I have to pay arrears for the same. Thats because it is mentioned in the document that the amount is floating. My greivance is that thour SBI has been given Direct debit facility from my SBI savings account every month, They never pointed this out to me in the beginning. Now they are askimg me to given Rs. 9000 to clear off the loan. Is this right? And if it is right, then what is the value for signing a document for the loan amount in which an amount of 6143 is mentioned. Can anyone in this forum advise me how to get about fighting for justice for me by this attitude by SBI.
