The problem you are facing is not a part of insurance its more of a problem with the garage that has dealt with your case. The thought process behind every surveyor is simply to give genuine coverage. I personally never met any surveyors in my life but I had repaired my car lots of time due to car accidents and everytime the garage person has given me genuine advise on what all will be covered, claim process had never been an issue with ICICI Lombard since 7 years of my usage. Infact, there was one time I was not able to get cashless claim told by repair station, i called ICICI Lombard helpline as i knew the garage was covered under ICICI Lombard panel and they called the repair station and in hours time it was all resolved. So buddy, I feel it comes down to repair center on how they are presenting your case.
