I had purchased an Indica DLS 2008 model from Kraft Motor, Bokaro and had recieved a cover note for insurance of Reliance General Insurance Co. (Form No - 108000535951) for IDV value 3,49,431/-. I was charged a premium of Rs. 11,062/- for this.

But, I received the insurance policy no 2403782311002009 of IDV value Rs. 3,18, 919/-. The premium mentioned therein is Rs. 9,616/-.

In this way, I had paid a premium of Rs. 1,446/- in excess and have been underinsured by Rs. 30,512/-.

I had brought this problem to the notice of the authorities at Kraft Motors several times in the last six months. However, I am yet to receive any solution/firm assurance in this regard.

I had also contacted the authorities of Reliance General Insurance co but they were also not paying heed to our request.

Is this an eligible case for consumer court and how much compensation could be claimed from the insurance companny against this subject.
