Subject: Complaint against the Oriental Insurance Company, Chandigarh of Motor
Insurance claim of Vehicle Registration No: - HR-01X-1977.
Dear Sir,
I Jagir Singh and I am the owner of TATA INDIGO car carrying Registration No:-HR-01 X-1977. On 06.07.10 my son Yadvinder Singh was driving car towards Vill. Chat Near Banoor and heavy rain is going on suddenly the soil near small pully settled down and car went into water.
The front side of car fully goes into water and he instantly called the service adviser of M/s Joshi Auto Zone, Chandigarh who is No. 1 dealer for TATA Motor Chandigarh for help but anyhow they are not able to come on the spot and my son took help of the farmers and take out the car from there with the help of the tractor and take the car to the agency after that and he give his car for repair under the Insurance agency (The Oriental insurance company).
On dated 07.07.10 Mr. Juglesh Sood (Surveyor-Appointed by Oriental Insurance) has came and inspected the vehicle and he ensures my son that you need not to worry now me and M/s Joshi Auto zone will take care of the vehicle repair job and as soon as vehicle will ready we will inform you and on dated 21.07.10 my car is ready, surveyor came and made his assessment and he had submitted the report on 26.07.10 in oriental insurance office in Sec-17-D, Chandigarh. He had made the assessment that insurance company has to pay approx .Rs 58,000 and Customer has to pay 30,000 Rs. The major parts he had allowed is the fuel injector costing around 35,000 Rs & fuel rail costing around 8,000 Rs.
After that Mr. Rajwant Singh from Oriental Insurance had forward that case for second opinion to Mr. R.S Gill (Sr. Surveyor) and he visit M/s Joshi Auto Zone 07.08.10 and disallowed the Major parts allowed by his own surveyor. The parts are Fuel Injectors & Fuel Rail. As per Mr. R.S. Gill report that parts can not be damaged due to water goes into the engine.
If Mr. Gill is right than Mr. Juglesh Sood who had allowed those parts is not competent enough to inspect the vehicle than why oriental insurance company sending those kind of surveyor for surveillance.
Moreover M/s Joshi Auto zone has not even informed me that they are replacing those parts, they had talked to Mr. Juglesh Sood and as per his direction they had replaced the parts.
I am not sure that surveyor has visit the agency during repair period of car engine but I think that this is the responsibility of the surveyor that they should visit during repair period as they are giving paying to workshop. If the surveyor really had not visited during repair time than how I will be sure that the parts actually has been replaced and if I will ask the agency to give me old one back how I will be sure that they will provide me the same. They definitely provide me the damaged one, as the surveyor has not mentioned the parts Number in the report.
As a customer I am very dissatisfied with the performance of the surveyor’s decisions.
First surveyor is allowing some parts and second surveyor not allowing those parts.
There is the problem in the company’s surveyor’s decisions which is affecting me from last one month without having car.
I will be highly thankful to you if you will take action on this issue.
Thanks & Best Regards,
S. Jagir Singh
