    Angry Complaint regardign Future Generali Car Insurance

    Hello,

    My car met with a minor an accident a month ago. When the vehicle accident insurance claimed now, the claim department is denying it stating it as a late claim. But there is no where mention of any claim duration in the policy terms & conditions. Now they are sending a new set of terms & conditions and saying that "IT IS THE DUTY OF CUSTOMER ASK AND EXPLICITLY OBTAIN THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS AND NOT THEIR DUTY'. When talked to claims department, they ask me to talk to customer care. When talked to customer care, they ask me to claim Claims department. If this is the kind of response , how to talk to anyone responsible and answerable in the organization. Is this the reason, then do we need to get a vehicle insurance ?

    Default Will not settle the claim- Future Generali

    I had taken a European Travel Insurance from Future Generali. When I bought this insurance I was not told about any claim proceedure. After coming back from the trip I had to file claim for 1. Baggage


    Delay and 2. Trip Delay. After calling the cutomer care and the claims department I got an idea about the proceedure and hence I applied for the same. One month later after no communication about the status of my claim I called their Mumbai office to learn about the status and to my surprise the executive brought to my knowledge that my application for the claim was declined and the reply was posted to me which I have not recieved till now. I feel cheated and mislead by the company. After being in dark for a month they didnt even bother to send an email about the status. Is that the way corporate works? The status of my claim as I learnt from the executive are as follows:

    1. Baggage Delay ( Declined) but no formal communication recieved
    I Had submited all the documents as desired by an email from the claims dept. of the company. I sent the documents. Then they started asking for more documents like original bills of the things I bought while my luggage was delayed. I was initally not made aware of the documentation required for this claim. Since europe was an expensive place therefore I bought things from the market on the streets and like anywhere in the world I never got a reciept for it. I had to buy things like winter jacket, undergarments, toiletteries and T shirt. I informed them about the same. One month later they didnt even bother to inform about status and simply declined the claim. Its absoulte unjust and cheating.

    2. Trip Delay no commuication recieved about it yet (more than 30 days since application)
    I dont think they are taking my application seriously. I started taking legal advice for the claim and have been advised that I am entitled to my claim amount.
    The people handling the claim do not intend to settle the claim. They are just trying to tire me with the lenghty proceedure. They are trying to cheat many people not just by selling travel but also general insurance. These guys have no proffesional ethic. They would give you illogical reasons for the proceedure to frustrate you.

    Mr. Deepak of Account section from future generali, Lucknow is not approving my cliam. However, This year ,during nearly 25 January had been accident and same personel was approved my claim nearly first week of Feb 2010. This time is not approving. Please immidiate help me. Otherwise i will to go Court against Future generali insurence.

    Sir
    I Shakti Raina having policy no.-2009-V0539791-FPV and car no.-HR51-AD-7166 want to inform u that I am staring my car repair work as your surveyor has not passed my claim for my accident.My car met with an accident on the 5th of July and till now no work has been done on the car, so now on 3rd of August I am starting my cars repair at .It is also very unfortunate that your surveyor has not passed the claim for the accident
    which was a genuine accident.The total cost of the car repair is comming out to be around Rs 50,000 .As soon as the car repairs i will be sending you the bill and pictures on worked done on car.
    With this mail i will be sending you my policy paper, affadavit and the accident pictures of the car.
    If these charges will be not provided by your company than we will be going to the consumer court.

    I take the car insurance from Future Generali through Mr Raj (Agent of Delhi – Saket branch). I had given the engine no. & chasis no. of my new car - Chevrolet beat to Mr raj & he did the insurance but after 1-2 days my car dealer (Apex Auto – Gurgaon) informed me that there was the dent on the car roof, so they changed the car. Accordingly Apex Auto gave us the new engine no. & chasis no.. Whole story was informed to Mr Raj & new Engine no. & Chasis no. was also provided to him. He assured us that there is nothing to worry about as he will do the endorsement from his side. But now when I went to claim the insurance on 30th may, surveyor told us that engine no. & chasis no, is different on RC & insurance copy; contact the person who did the insurance. We went back to Raj on the same day 30th May & informed the whole story to him. He again said that there is no problem & he will do endorsement & our claim of Rs 7152 will settle in 2-3days. But now he stopped picking our calls from the last 3-4days. Now I got hopeless & exhausted in doing the numberless follow ups with Future Generali to settle this claim of very small amount & decided not to take any kind of insurance from Future Generali. But my question is: why the customer will suffer because of the mistake of any agent of Future Generali. If he did any mistake than may be he has to take the lead & solve all the problems instead of keeping mum & waiting for insurance to expire. May be there will be some procedure to track this to avoid any customer harassment in future.
