Friends,

My two-month old Hyundai i20 met with an accident in July end. The car was completely damaged but the passengers were all safe. I registered a claim with ICICI Lombard on 25th July. Later, the car was declared to be in 'complete/total loss' category as the repair costs were really high. This meant that the claim would also be for the total insured amount (Rs 4.6 lakh).
Following this, there were investigations for 2 months. I even had to drive to Meerut to show them the accident spot so that they could click it !
Anyways, the file reached some top level in November end and it was discovered that the 2-3 month long investigation was incomplete !
The bottom-line is ... 5 months after the claim, I have not received a single penny. I am still paying the bank installments for a car that I don't have. And the surveyor gives me a new reason for delay in the investigation every time i call him.

Please let me know the best way to proceed with this. I am ready to drag these people to the consumer court.
