    Default Reliance Insurance

    Dear Sir/ Madam,
    I am writing to you with a lot of hope since your media is very reputed in
    providing justice to common public.
    This message is a complaint against Reliance Insurance & FIAT India/ TATA Motors
    Complaint against Reliance Insurance is because they are refusing to bear the cost
    of replacement of damaged engine despite the fact that existing engine got damaged
    in a accident & I have a valid Insurance policy.
    Complaint against FIAT is due to poor product design & extremely poor spares &
    service support.
    TATA Motors India is responsible for After Sales & Service of FIAT vehicles in India
    The fact that this "FIAT LINEA " car is so delicate that even a stone on the road
    can cause it's engine to cease in a few minutes time means that this car is not
    suitable for Indian road.
    Now after approaching you after being told to bear the cost of new engine which is
    Rs 1,50,000+ labour charges .

    (Tata Motors is the agency responsible for providing sales service & distribution
    of FIAT products in India).
    FIAT India is the manufacturer of FIAT Linea car.
    TAYAL Motors , Faridabad is the Authorised showroom from where I have bought this
    car & where my car is lying since 4th August , the date of accident .
    The detailed explanation of the accident is given below about which I have written
    to various top executives in TATA Motors,FIAT India & TAYAL Motors.
    The incident :


    I have bought FIAT Linea Petrol car dtd 6th May 2009.
    My wife was driving the car on 4th May on Surajkund road & I was sitting besides her
    . Suddenly a big & sharply pointed stone came from the back wheel of HONDA CITY car
    .
    Before my wife could react, the stone hit the bottom chamber of the car .
    We stopped the car as it was near the side of the road only .
    We saw oil leaking from the engine & realising this we stopped the engine .
    Subsequently we manually pushed the car off the road immediately.
    Then the car was Towed away to TAYAL Motors (nearest FIAT showroom from the place ).
    TAYAL Motors representative only towed the car to their showroom .
    On detailed analysis I was told that Oil Sump needs to be changed .
    Since Oil Sump was not available in your authorised showroom so I had to wait for
    approx 20 days for Oil Sump to arrive from Pune
    Subsequently after replacing the oil sump after 20 days the engine was found to be
    ceased .
    The major parts of the Engine need to be replaced like piston , Block, gaskets etc .
    The cost of new engine is Rs 1,50,000/ .
    My quesion to you is Sir ,"Is FIAT Linea really meant for Indian roads ."
    If it's design is so delicate that even a stone can damage it's Oil Chamber &
    ultimately damage the Engine then there is a question mark on the design aspect of
    FIAT Linea.
    Perhaps this car is meant for Italian roads & not for Indian roads where stones on
    the road are very common .
    May I request you to please replace the Engine on Free of cost basis as I have
    suffered enough from 4th August till now,almost a months time now.
    This action from your end will atleast assure me that TATA's & FIAT care for their
    customers .
    I hope you will understand the mental & emotional trauma I have undergone already

    Default Reliance Car Insurance Transfer

    :@Dear Sirs

    I bought my car in my mother-in-law's name and after 2 years, I applied for a loan with HDFC Bank and for that purpose,I was required to change car in my name, which I did but the HDFC Bank franchisee turned out to be cheat and my papers for the car were never returned to me.

    In the meantime, I broke my car windshield and took the car to Windshield Experts, Tilak Nagar,New Delhi in Sep.09 but they refused to change the windscreen, as they said, you need to change the car papers in your name first and that's when I enquired about my RC and I came to know that the car was already in my name but I got the renewel of my car insurance done th. Reliance Gen. and they never asked for any papers at that time and they took the money and renewed car insurance in the same name, Mrs.Bimla Devi.

    Now after I obtained my duplicate RC and went to change the same insurance in my name, after enquiring from RGI helpline--who advised me regarding the paper work required by me--
    1.No Objection from current policy holder
    2.New RC
    3.Rs.50/- fee
    4.Proof of my identity
    5.They said that the no claims bonus won't be transferred into your a/c.

    I approached their office in Palam Court,Gurgaon and they in turn referred me to their agent, Baljit Singh-(M)9818543340 & said that I will need to return an amount of Rs.1700/- on a/c of no.of days this insurance was in my mother's name,i.e.193 days and rest 162 days will charged back from you & a survey of your car will be done.

    After the survey, I got told by Mr.Baljit that you need your windscreen replaced first and only then this insurance will be transfered in your name, then I told him about Windshield Experts advice, he said that why didn't you approach us before doing this and surveyor said that--you could keep the insurance in your mother's name & then you won't need to pay them back this amount of Rs.1700/- and I asked Mr.Baljit, what you are suggesting, does that mean that during this period my car wasn't insured.

    What I need to know, if they have taken money, under whatever circumstances, at that time, its welcome, without any question but when it comes to attending the same customer for a claim,then all the formalities crop up, whereas, I am the owner of the car,driving it and paid for insurance from my a/c, why didn't they refuse to accept 3rd party cheque at the time of renewal and now for the last 3 months, I am being made to run from pillar to post, for completing all the formalities and driving around with a cracked windscreen, that is after paying nearly Rs.9,000/-, which I could have done without paying,if I am not covered, for this omission, which wasn't brought to my notice by RGI at the time of renewal.

    Pl do the needful and let me know, about all the formalities required on my part, hoping to hear soon from you, with a positive response, as I am suffering badly at Reliance General Insurance's hands and after paying the money, I am not covered, for any mishap in the interim, which is what I fear the most,as I have already lost one of my cars earlier.

    Default Complaint against Reliance General Insurance.

    Hi,

    I have another bitter experience to to share with, against reliance general insurance company.
    It was my great mistake that I took a policy for my car and since the day I took my policy I hav ebeen following up with reliance guys, but was in vain.
    The issue happened when I renewd my policy. There occured a typo in the registration number of my car and I requested them to change it. The complaint (Service request) number was 00821711. After that when I called, another customer care executive raised another complaint for the same (No. 823797) and promised me thaqt it will be solved in 72 Hours.
    But even after 2 weeks the correction is not done and everytime when I call them, I was told that it is in process... Without the correct policy document, I could not take the vehicale outside and I'm really frustrated with the 'useless' reliance people.
    Please help me on this or suggest any alternate way to get it done.
