Unhappy Complain Against National Insurance Co. Ltd.

    Dear Sir,
I am Vishal Kukreja the present owner of vehicle as details given below:
    Registration No. : DL3CR – 3195
    Vehicle Class : L.M.V. (Car)
Vehicle Maker : MUL Maruti Udyog Ltd.
    Chasis No. : 1497901
    Engine No. : 1034798

The above detailed vehicle is insured by National Insurance Co. Ltd. from your branch. And the insurance policy no is 360804/31/08/6100000648 which is the name of Mr. Amarjeet Dua Ex-owner of my vehicle.
This letter would be considered as a complain for Claim Rejection for my vehicle. Actually the matter is that the above mentioned vehicle’s RC has been transferred from Mr. Amarjeet Dua (The Ex-owner of the vehicle and the owner of Insurance Policy) to me Vishal Kukreja( Present Owner of Vehicle). But the Insurance policy is remained named to Mr. Amarjeet Dua(Ex-owner of vehicle). At the time of transferring of vehicle to my name I was not present in India. Because of urgent work of my company I had to go to England. So before going to abroad I have completed all the RC transferring document formalities. I came back from England on 25th March 2009. And I tried to transfer the insurance policy to my name. I talked to Insurance agent regarding this. I was told to present with my vehicle because of some photos to be taken with vehicle. But in my absence my vehicle was parked at my home town Kalanaur Disst. Rohtak(Haryana). So I went to my home town on 26th March 2009 to bring my vehicle and came back on 27th March 2009 (Friday) evening. So I was told to do the insurance formalities on Monday 30th march 2009 because the Insurance office was closed on Saturday and Sunday. But unfortunately my vehicle has been theft on Monday 30th March 2009 from Sect 14 Parking Gurgaon as I came to withdraw some money from ATM. Then I lodge a FIR against my car theft in the Police Chowki, Sect-14, Gurgaon. The FIR no. is 135.
After lodging FIR, I went to State Transport Department, Shaikh Sarai, Delhi on 4th April 2009 to get the vehicle details because all the original document i.e. RC, Insurance Policy etc. were inside the vehicle while it was theft.
After getting the details I came to National Insurance office at your branch for doing some intimation formalities. There I discussed my case with Mr. Mehta who is senior authority in the office. I have put my entire document in front of him. After analyzing my documents I was told that my claim won’t be considered because according to company policy with in the 14 days of transferring vehicle on my name I had to transferred my insurance to my name also. I was told that nothing would be paid if I will apply for claim. So I was convinced and came back from the office.
Recently on 22th June 2009, I again came at your branch for taking Rejection Letter of Vehicle Claim. This time I again met to Mr. Mehta. And this time I was told to sent them a request letter for Claim Rejection Letter through post and I would get reply through post. But after posting request letter through mail still I didn't get reply.

Hope to hear soon from your side.

    Regards
    Vishal Kukreja
