    Angry Bad Customer Service at SONY Authorized Service Center

    Hi,
    I had Purchased a Sony handycam model: DCR-SR68E on 16th May 2010.
    Only within 3 months of purchase the display of the handycam got bad on first instance of usage. I had gone to SOny Authorized Service Center in AS Rao Nagar on 14th August 2010. The service canter is right below the SOny World from where iI purchased the set. The agent over there promised to get it fixed and delivered within 3 days. A compalint was registered with Serial No:1760352 dated 14th August 2010. I went back after 7 days on 20th August 2010 , the set was not fixed yet. The agent said there was a delay in getting the required component. He asked for 3 more days time. I called back on 24th August 2010 expecting it was fixed, however the agent informed me that he did not have the required parts so he sent the set to bowenpally branch and it would be fixed in 3 days, or the piece would be replaced.
    I called back on 27th August again the same reply. I even asked for any higher manager to whom i could speak to escalate the issue. The agent said he had already launched complete through toll free number they will take action soon, and promised to deliver it by 2nd September 2010.
    I am completely vexed with the poor service they provide. I went to service center on 2nd Sep.
    The agent promised that he would fix the set or replace it with new one by 6th sep end. He himself was not confident when i asked him it in written. I did not expect this kind of service from Sony.
    I called the Toll free customer care number. I was speaking to the agent he said the complaint was logged on 27th August according to their records, where as I had handed over the set on 14th August and the receipt as well was dated 14th August. The customer care agent said that it was under obeservation, I did not really unsderstand what oberservation it was. when asked about the time frame for obervation to end and action to be taken he did not have any answere he was repeating the same thing, it was under observation. Poor POOR customer service from SOny. I had handeded over the set to Service center and lodged compalint on 14th August where as, as per the customer service it was logged on 27th august. Sony's customer service is bad it is not organised. The agent was not able to answere my questions the call got disconnected I wonder if the call would be logged or not, the agent did not even have the courtsey to call back to resolve the issue. Poor Customer Service.
    I hope by postin here atleast now they will stop there observation and take some action.
